Good Cook.....Not!

Cooking fever is on. Nolah actually Jia and PikLay cook all the time anyway just that I saw their food picture on the same day so I also semangat la.

My mum bought me this recipe book and asked me to try every single dish in the book and the 1st recipe is Marmite Chicken. The book was bought almost half a yr back and I always give excuses when she asked me that I cannot find marmite sauce & maltose. It's true! I really went Giant but can't find okay! So my dad ..yah my DAD ...went and bought me both ingredient coz I think he also cannot tahan I always got alasan wtf lol.

SO yesterday's dinner!

Brown rice (1st time trying a bit dry leh) + Egg + Marmite Chicken.

It taste........horrible.

FML.

1st, I didn't put enough corn flour
2nd, I didn't deep fry the chicken long enough
3rd, when I was doing the sauce I accidentally poured too much Marmite sauce and instead of scooping it back out, I was thinking aiya never mind lah just a bit more sauce only lo.

It's not true! Marmite sauce is the one that makes the whole sauce bitter so if you put more, the more bitter it is. UEK.

Yah so my chicken is bitter but I finished it anyhow coz I don't have rubbish bin and my perut is my rubbish bin wtf.

Never mind I'm pretty sure 2nd attempt would be perfect..if not perfect also should be edible la.

Ice Kacang Puppy Love

当天空还是蓝的 当世界还是简单的时候 我们的回忆 我们的故事 我们的歌

I don't think you all will believe that I'm the kind of person that will like Ice Kacang Puppy Love coz it's so chinese-y and I usually don't even want to watch it let alone like it.

But this is different ok! This one got Lee Sin Jie!!! Ya la it's obvious I am a big fan of hers since I was like 16 or 17. Don't know why leh I never liked any of those movie stars but I particularly like her.

And did I tell you when I go watch the movie in Gurney that time Ah Niu is there also! Well actually I passed by and I didn't know who he is and actually my friend told me that's Ah Niu and even after being informed, I didn't step front and look at him also coz I need to go buy mineral water Fuck-His-Life tsk.

And erm..I really like the song. Anyone has it please send it to me???

She is really pretty *drooling wtf. I honestly don't mind watching it again just to..u know..ooze over her again. I'm very high school now I don't know why I'm like that.

Camping in Pangkor.

The last time I went camping was 13 years ago. That year, the Christian Youth Camp that me and the puppies attended every year was organized in Desaru but can't really consider that as camping also because we slept at the beach but not in a camp. There's like a small hut there with beds and fans. There's another time I camped back in high school but I can't remember what it's for already.

So yah. That just proves how long I haven't gone camping. When I told my friends that I'm going camping NOBODY BELIEVED ME. Yes seriously. Everyone laughed at me because I'm afraid of the sun and dust and being dirty and everything and I showered like 10 times a day if I can.

HELLO EVERYONE I PLAYED TENNIS LAST TIME TRAINING FROM 8AM UNTIL 4PM UNDER THE HOT SUN OKAY SCARED WHAT SUN TSKK. Nola I meant if you want me to walk at the car park under the sun and everything I don't like la coz it's so unnecessary. But if it's during travel or camp or any outdoor activities I don't mind because it's for FUN anyways wtf.

Okay enough of explaining myself. Shu say when she's back we go camping again with Pey don't know real or not.

#1 Started journey from KL at 7am. Natalie drove her MPV and Elly drove another MyVi. It was so damn cold coz it sorta rained the night before and that morning. Didn't bring my scarf so had to take out 2 shirt and cover myself wtf.

#2 Stopped half way at Sg Besar for Nasi Lemak as breakfast. This nasi lemak not bad, quite comparable to the gerai opposite Pantai Hospital outside my house here.

#3 We reached Lumut jetty around noon. Parked at the huge car park opposite the Jetty and unloaded all our luggages. We, not actually is THEY, had to carry A WHOLE load of stuff. Camps & food & including this box, very very heavy box. They had to keep buying ice all the way to make sure the things inside were kept cool. Guess what's inside?

#4 Packed and ready to go! Elly & Jessie very kesian la okay take all our food plus my tent also. Nat brought a tent, Elaine one, Jessie & Elly each one and because they're both sharing tent so I took the other one and they carried for me wtf *sobs so nice. And me..only 1 backpack.

#5 Tickets are bought to and fro Lumut-Pangkor-Lumut for RM10 only. The ferry is air-conditioned and the seats are quite comfortable. We were the 1st few to board and luckily we were early coz the ferry is PACKED. Some people had to stand outside the ferry without air-cond and had to stand the whole way. Kesian. Took almost 30-40 mins to reach Pangkor.

#6 The ferry look like this. Not too big okay don't misunderstood not those huge ferry that can carry cars from Penang to Butterworth.

#7 Finally reached Pangkor jerry around 2pm!

#8 If you're hungry (even not hungry also must eat coz after u leave the jerry to your campsite there's no food anymore), then get out of Pangkor jetty, walk towards your left, and there're rows of shops there. You can grab food there. I ordered this noodle soup at the corner shop. It's decent enough but I suggest you order Chicken Rice instead la.

#9 Then after lunch, we took this small sampan haha nola motorboat to our campsite.Pangkor is big right so it doesn't mean u take the ferry from Lumut to Pangkor jetty can straight away camp there. These boats will bring you to different camp sites at the island. Girls, if you're afraid of the sun, bring along a scarf or something to cover yourself because as you can see the boat no roof wan la and it takes almost 15 mins to reach.

#10 All our luggages placed in front.

#11 Smile everyone! Jessie is so fair-skinned ok no matter how long she is out in the sun she only get red but not dark. Jealous-la me.

#12 Kew sitting in front facing us coz we're quite packed and he malu to sit beside me even though my row only 2 people wtf.

#13 But he soon regretted because of the wave and the water kept pouring in our boat. So he moved over next to me haha. All of us who sat at the side were all wet but who cares la when we go to the camping site will be dirty also.

#14 Got one mini lighthouse on the way.

#15 The boat dropped us at the camp site and it's so packed because groups of malays are already there (like 30 people kind of huge group) and then the Outward Bound people are there too. Everyone started to unpack and set up the tent.

#16 Jessie & Elly setting up theirs. And there's another tent right behind ours.

#17 I...don't know how to set up =( I forgot how! Plus the tent is not mineeee (full of excuses wtf). So Elaine helped coz she has camped for a few times there already.

#18 Tadaaaaa! Err actually is a bit small. They bought this one from Tesco or Carrefour or something and it's meant for 2 people but sad to say, it's a bit too small for 2 people so don't get conned when you buy tent in Tesco. Make sure you check the centimetres when you buy.

#19 A bit sien coz the rubbish dump just like 20 steps away from our tent. Not that it stinks but I scared at night got monkeys there and it'll be so near to my tent right.

#20 The right tent is Natalie's. See it's a lot bigger right. I think if it's bigger and higher it won't be too heaty inside the tent..more air mar correct or not. They then took out their parang and went to chop branches for the night BBQ.

#21 Next to our tents is the tree swing and another hammock next to it. They're always fully occupied and I get to swing like maybe a while only in the afternoon.

#22 Everyone discussing how to setup the BBQ area and the bonfire.

#23 While they are busy discussing, I went around to check out the toilet. GOT TOILET OK *beaming. So important for me. I didn't expect any campsites to have toilet. My friends told me before I go that I have to dig hole to pee and shit wtf and wanna shower then shower in the sea.

#24 There're 3 bathrooms in total and 1 toilet. There's also a rubbish bin there so girls if you're having a period no problem u have toilet and u have rubbish bin.

#25 This is one of the bathrooms. Not exactly very clean but what do you expect la! Got bath room in a campsite is super best already. Water is abundant so don't worry it's said to be from the mountains so it's very cooling but dont know real or not I don't care as long as can shower *sighing in relief. Area is built up from random zincs and there's hole everywhere and the roof is quite open but don't worry la nobody is going to peep. Only got a lot of snails but snails won't take video of you naked and post in YouTube so don't worry!

#26 Right next to the WANITA toilet is the men's.

#27 After setting up the tent, chopping branches, everyone changed in the tent to bikinis and went for a swim! Me? I go shower la what else wtf.

#28 I had time so I cleaned up my tent which is like full of sand coz it's quite windy in the evening.

#29 Remember to put a piece of thrash bag or any big piece of plastic right outside your tent that you can clean your feet at before you go inside your tent. And the thrash bag also can prevent sands right outside your tent door to fly inside.

#30 I baring in the tent to rehat sekejap while taking random photos. There're kayaks that you can use if it's not occupied. And there's also a flying fox next to our tents that you can pay a bit of money to use. So kesimpulannya, a lot of activity there so don't scared u will be bored.

#31 Let me show you my tent..and me! Just showered but sweat like mad already.

#32 Hai Iz Me!

#33 The girls are sun tanning and the boys starting to set up the fire already because it's almost 7 at that time.

#34 90% of the time we just baring at the beach doing abso-fucking-lutely nothing. Isn't that the purpose! Just lie on the beach listening to waves and smelling salty water and basically just do NOTHING and NO laptop NO handphone. Bliss.

#35 Start to BBQ! I can't believe just how much food they brought. Chicken wing, meatballs, burgers, eggs (like 30 of them), potato, sausages. And most importantly the equipments are very complete. BBQ sticks, bags of charcoal, diamond foil, tissue paper, the fire starters , butter, chilli and tomato sauce, honey, brushes used for the butter and honey, and just EVERYTHING needed for BBQ like how you have them at home. Paper plate/cup/bowl/fork & spoon. LEMON also got to wash your hand after BBQ so no smell wtf! No wonder so many luggages.

#36 BBQ-ing right after getting out of the sea.

#37 Everyone contributed. I got also okay! (after finished taking photo that is). Helped to jaga the chicken wing from burning wtf. And my role is simpler la after that I just get the food from them after they BBQ-ed it and put them on a plate and cut them into pieces to distribute. Yah something like that la.

#38 So this is what the box contains! Actually it's supposed to be full of beer but they already drank half of it. They susah payah bring the beer inside and make sure it's kept cool all the way. Ah party people indeed. Me? See the HL milk and the vitagen or not? My one la! LOL.

#39 Evening almost 7.30 already at that time. Elaine sitting there dont know doing what..enjoying sunset.

#40 So this is AFTER we finished BBQ-ing and eating. They just threw all the sticks inside and make a bonfire. See the blue light on the top left corner? That's actually Jessie wearing her head flashlight. So dark right.

#41 After BBQ everyone showered then sat at the beach looking at stars and listening to wave and drinking beer. Ahh...that's what life is! You all now read this think also syiok right.

My tent is very very near to the sea. So when it's high tide I can almost feel the wave right outside my tent when I woke up in the middle of the night. Night is damn WARM though no wind at all. So I was really sweating in the tent but slept anyhow coz damn exhausted already. And surprisingly no monkey came and kacau us at all.

#42 Woke up at 8.30 coz the malays near our tents are all up already and making a lot of noises =(

#43 After everyone cleaned up we prepared breakfast. These things are brought by the Malays wah so keng right brought EVERYTHING!

#44 This is the kitchen. Yes there's kitchen too. You can cook maggi or anything there.

#45 Our breakfast! Sorry okay this is only 20% of our breakfast. For drinks, there's 3-in-1 Milo, Lipton Teh Tarik, Nescafe. For food, there's Maggi (LOTS OF THEM packet one also got, cup ones also got, different flavors also wtf), Egg, Peanut Butter, 2 loafs of Gardenier Bread, Tuna (3 types Mayonnaise, Spicy tune and another one dont know what already). Can you imagine they really carried all this stuff for camping. So complete! So bahagia we get to eat anything we want.

#46 The only boat spoilt that day =( The guys are trying to start the engine and push the boat but it didn't work. What luck! BUt then again, my luck is always that lousy anyway. The guy in charge told us that we had to hike out because no boat is available already. Err doesn't sound good but not TOO BAD since we finished most of the food and less luggage.

The hike is short but tiring because of the backpacks and stuff and it's extremely hot that day. Everyone sweat like mad really like you can see water dripping off their body. It's almost 10 mins of hiking and a van is there arranged to drive us out to the jetty.

#47 There's this local shop opposite Lumut jetty where we park our car. We bought loads of stuff. Satay ikan (those individual small pieces on sticks), snacks, asam, HAM YU (salty fish), and some rempah for cooking.

We drove around Lumut looking for lunch for almost 1 hour but couldn't find the seafood restaurant so we just ate in a random mamak stall. It took us almost 2 hours plus from Lumut back to KL. We stopped half way at Kuala Selangor for seafood too. Can you imagine? We only showered ONCE in the morning, then breakfast, then a swim in the sea, then packing up, then hike out, then lunch in Lumut, then 2 hours car drive. Everyone is sweaty and sticky and EXHAUSTED. My face felt like there's 10 inches of oil on it.

#48 We randomly picked a seafood restaurant at Kuala Selangor just next to a river where kids shouted and told their parents they saw crocodile wtf.

#49 River View Restaurant. We picked this one because it's well lit and there's more customers here.

#50 FOOD! I didn't really eat because I am sticky and I don't really like to do anything when I'm dirty.

Reached back home around midnight. Tiring but fun nonetheless. Good spontaneous road trip! Haven't had any for ages. I felt like as I grow older I get less adventurous and I tend to stay indoor or just go travel at places with either air-cond or just any winter countries. This is really a change and remind me how good it felt to be doing all this just like when I was younger.

So if you want to go camping, remember to bring
1. LOTS of food!
2. Enough clothes coz you need to keep going in the sea so just bring more lightweight and easy to dry clothes.
3. Sanitary stuff (shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, toilet paper..yes toilet paper unless u wanna wash with hand & water =D)
4. TENT duh.
5. Sleeping bag. You need sleeping bag because the tent doesn't come with Dunlop mattresses as how Natalie put it lol.
6. Insect repellant. VERY IMPORTRANT because got sandfly and trust me you won't want to kena bite by sandfly coz I kena before and it's HUGE and it's RED and it's fucking ITCHY and it doesn't go away until 1.5 weeks later. fuck. think also scared.
7. Torch Light. definitely needed.
8. Sulfur powder. Don't want to bring also nvm I think not much snake at the beach la.
9. Drinking water. Bring at least 2 litres per person for 2 days 1 night.
10. Slipper. No need bring shoe.
11. Parang. to get wood.
12. Sun block!!!! SANGAT IMPORTANT. I brought but didn't apply at all. Forgot wtf.

If you decide to go camping at Pangkor, remember what I said earlier in the post and have fun!
