Stronger ringgit may see more Malaysians going overseas

At first I was like "niceeeeeeeeeeee" 2.95 this is great! I can buy this and that cheaper now!

Until someone reminded me how could that be nice when all our stocks are in USD then I went "oh ya fuck". The last time we converted was 3.4 then 3.2 then now we only get back 2.95 or 2.90? That actually offsets everything already SO HOW CAN THAT BE NICE!

Most parents would now send their kids to school in the US and they end up working there after they graduated. So now explains where all the bright people go to and then our newspaper would only report "top student from Malaysia in US" this and that but the news also end up saying they get a reputable job there. LIKE THAT REPORT FOR WHAT. PROUD OF WHAT? PROUD THAT YOUR PEOPLE STAYED IN US & DOWAN TO COME HOME TO WORK?

Ya then prices like food and shopping are almost the same, except maybe for imported vehicles but that itself also have that outrageous tax that comes with it.

Then Malaysians spend more because they get over excited about the 2.95 and bought more things online and went holidays overseas. From poor to being poorer wtf.

So..exactly how does it benefit me or you or everyone as a whole?

Okay maybe it does benefit country as a whole. I'm just blinded by the sadness right now for my stocks. Maybe wire commission also cannot cover back. Sigh.

Heartwarming.

Love both videos! And love the song in the 2nd video.

All For Dinner.

I had KitKat.

Then I had a bowl of rice, steamed egg, 5 pieces of chicken, half big bowl of soup.

Then I went to Fairprice and bought Tao Kae Noi and finished half pack of the snack.

Then I walked over to KFC and bought 2 portugese egg tarts and finished one.

Then I walked to the fruit stall and bought the red dragon fruit and finished it.

ALL IN ONE NIGHT.

I am so guiltyyyyyyyyyyyyy. I wish I can turn back time and not eat all of those!

New Food Vendor Today.

Every now and then, my company would hire different vendors to setup stalls in the office (in addition to the existing cafeteria vendor). Everything is free of charge. The stall will be open from 8am till 10pm so whenever you feel like eating, you just drag your ass down to the cafeteria and have them make it fresh and you can take as many as you like. Normally, each vendor lasted 3 days. ENOUGH to make you sick of the thing.

The previous time was Muar Chee, you know, the sticky rice balls coated with sugar and peanut.

And then last last month was Popcorn and they have both the caramel and the unsweetened ones. I was so bloody kiasu I took 1 packet every 2 hours wtf until I'm so sick of popcorn! I hadn't had any since that day until now.

I cannot remember the others coz it was last year already.

Today, it's Old Chang Kee. They brought the whole big truck and parked right outside the lobby so anytime you feel like having one or maybe two curry puffs, just drop by and have them make it fresh for you. Crispy hot!

I'm sure all of you know Old Chang Kee 老曾记, the ubiquitous little shop at almost every corner of major streets.

And one thing I cannot tahan is when people pronounce curry puff as KALIPOK. Dont know lah I felt it's err..not very nice to say KALIPOK.

Very tough to say Curry Puff..or Karipap meh? Kalipok kalipok kalipok...chickenpok..taupok.. niamehpok. ok obviously this one is a Hainanese vulgar word. I don't know what it means exactly but whenever something pisses korej off, he will say niamehpok! LOL.

Creme the Hair Spa.

My scalp started to itch so today after I woke up, went straight to Creme the Hair Spa. Why is it called a spa? I didn't know until I arrived that it's really a ....spa. Unlike the normal hair salon that you went in with like 30 chairs and mirrors, this hair spa only has 2 rooms and 1 changing room. Weird right? When I went in and they asked me to change into a robe.

My "room" has an Ogawa massage chair and some hair machines at the back. So basically the whole time I'm lying on the massage chair with it activated and I get to choose whether I want it uppper back or lower back, and they apply hair treatment there and then. Weird huh? And I even have a blanket and they made sure my drinking water is warm and helped me changed it every now and then even before I drink it.

2 hours for the price of...$60.

Verdict? Well...it's really just 2 hours of head, scalp, neck and shoulder essential oil massage. I wish they'd pay more attention to the real issue at hand...MY HAIR. But not so much. I guess hair spa is really just for the experience. I would prefer to go back to a normal hair salon where they force me to sit straight and let me drink cold water but did my hair for a whole hour. Right?

YOU KNOW WHATS THE FUNNIEST THING? After the girl washed my hair and I stood up and she said "dont worry I'll give you a blowjob later"

Zzzzzzzzz. I tried not to laugh, out loud.

Anywayyyyyyyyyy right after that, I went shopping, again but this time ALONE. But before that, LUNCH!

Believe it or not but for the whole 1 year I'm here, I've only been to Kim Gary TWICE! Both times I went not because I miss the food, but I miss the memories I have with the gang in Kim Gary that I treasure so much wtf.

I think I spent almost 10 minutes in the changing room thinking if I should get this. $49 for such a casual cotton piece..is a bit pricey, right? Right? Aiya anyway In the end I didn't get it also.

Err..tomorrow's Monday already?? Sigh.

Saturday in Vivo

We went shopping today and spent half a fortune! Malls here are evil I tell you. Last weekend I was in KL VERY determined to shop all out but I couldn't get anything! Except 1 packet of cotton from Sasa worth RM9.90. The rest of the things I wanted are so expensive! Didn't take me 1 second extra to put the clothes back on the rack. Geez! How to buy a dress in MNG when it's more than RM100. Crazy or what wtf.

I think it's no secret that I'm a big Bubble Milk Tea addict, so is my sister. No actually she liked it but she's not an addict. I remembered when I was in Seattle I was so bubble milk tea deprived that when I found it in Pike's Place, I bought it even though it's USD$6 or something. Mum found out and has been talking about THAT evey time I buy milk tea nowadays.

Here, it's just competition between Koi and Gong Cha. If you're in Singapore, make sure you drop by any of the branch and see for yourselves what a big deal milk tea is here. As you can see, the little shop's packed and it usually takes at least 15 minutes just to place order and another 10 minutes to get your drink. I was thinking I need to bring either Koi or Gong Cha to Malaysia AND YOU KNOW WHAT. Last weekend when I was around the Gardens Midvalley, I SAW GONG CHA SHOP UNDER RENOVATION.

Aih. See. I said I wanted to open Kim Gary in Qbay. Someone did. I wanted to open fitness centre in Qbay. Someone did. I wanted to open Gong Cha. SOMEONE DID. Everyone's getting rich! Except me! HMPH.

Anyway, my favorite now is Milk Green Tea with Pearl for $2.50.

Don't you all miss my shameless camwhore photo!

Sakura Buffet

Hey this one photo a day thing seems to be going well! I remembered to whip out my phone and took photo of my...lunch...heh.

Of course this is not just what I ate. The first dish of fried rice, kong pao chicken, tofu, crackers, roast chicken & garlic bread finished before I remembered to record it down.

The black thing on the top right corner is the Herbal Chicken Soup and Pulut Hitam (black sesame dessert). There're a whole lot of teppanyaki and sushi and raw salmons and stuff but I was too full to take those. I probably only manage to eat less than $10 worth of food..how can!

This is actually our quarterly lunch with the boss at Sakura International Buffet, around $20 per person for 15 of us, which is OVERPRICED for the quality of the food. I don't think there's 1 thing I ate that I felt like taking the 2nd round, okay maybe just the breaded tempura but that's it! Others just spell mediocre. Initially the plan is just to go for Popeye since everybody's busy but the boss is kind enough to fork out more $$ and let us hang out there longer. Come to think of it, I actually think Popeye would probably taste better!

I wanted to take photo of the sushi and teppanyaki but the waiter told me NO PHOTOS ALLOWED so I went to the corner and while I was taking mushroom soup and pulut hitam, I curi curi take one photo, which is pretty much meaningless since you cant see anything also.

Okay! Back to my desperado housewifeto!

Blah Blah Blah

Why am I so lazy tsk tsk!

I opened blogger for almost 10 times over the past week and the max I could go is like 15 words each time then I'll go urghhhhh fuck it I'll go eat instead ..I'll go to the city and shop instead.. I'll watch movie instead..I'll surf for stupid comedies ala annoying orange instead..I'll eat Tim Tam instead..

End up everytime I open my blog I still see Good Morning Nanyang Toast wtf. Oh btw I plan to go Nanyang toast again this Saturday to try out the normal Ciabatta bread ! Ok maybe not that chio dio to go at 8am maybe 10 or something when I wake up wooo! Anyone want to join me just holler!

Anyway I wanted to finish blogging about Bangkok and CNY (LIKE CENTURIES BACK ALREADY) maybe this weekend and I'm telling people from now on I would probably just post a random photo per day (or maybe every 3 days or what) and talk rubbish. This won't take too much effort so maybe that'll make the blog alive again eh?

OH before I forget

For all of you who watch PPS like drugs, you must have realized PPS has gone haywire and removed all new HK drama and the entire American series right? When I found out my HK TVB dramas are no longer there I nearly cried (it's true! ) since PPS era I already uninstalled Torrent softwares and I hate having to wait for my series to finish download. Then Joe kindly introduced me another software which does the exact same thing. My savior wtf.

Jeng Jeng Jeng

If you haven't found the alternative, then here you go. FUNSHION. It works just like PPStream except that it has the American series too! Go download it if you haven't!

Okay you can thank me now ehem.

Ttyl folks I'm going back to my Desperate Housewives!

Good Morning Nanyang Cafe

My Saturday started really early!

I'm a big fan of toast and tea for breakfast so I googled around for good breakfast place in Singapore and I came across Good Morning Nanyang Cafe. I don't think anyone would wanna wake up so early just for toast so I decided to make a trip down to Chinatown Point alone on Saturday because I need to open another savings account in Maybank which is just opposite the breakfast place.

8A.M. Saturday. Rise and shine! Reached Chinatown Point at 9.15AM to realize the cafe only opens at 10.30AM on Saturdays aih. I walked across to People Park Centre to get my account opening done, then crossed the bridge back to find the cafe not open yet still! But there's already around 5 people waiting outside the cafe and I can smell strong coffee smell from inside! Looooooove morning coffee aroma even though I dont drink coffee heh.

#1 Little cafe tucked away in that rather dead Chinatown Point shopping centre 3rd floor.

#2 The big menu at the cafe entrance. The supposedly famous bread from this cafe is its Ciabatta bread. Ciabatta is an Italian white bread made with wheat flour and yeast.

#3 The cafe interior. I couldn't decide among Set A or B or C and I cant order all of them coz I'm alone! So i decided to get the traditional toast set then ala carte of Orange Ciabatta bread.

#4 2X Egg + Tea. The half boiled egg is just nice not too waterish.

#5 Traditional kaya toast also using the brown type of bread like Oldtown toast only I think it's crispier and yummier than Oldtown's!

#6 This is THE orange ciabatta toast. It's not the crispy type as you can see. I think I like this better than the traditional one. If you're looking for an alternative for the normal brown traditional toast, you can try this, OR the normal Ciabatta toast which is more brownish in color.

#7 My breakfast. Yummeh! Of course, I couldn't finish all by myself so tapau-ed half of traditional toast and half of Ciabatta back.

I think if I tell my mum I purposely went to Chinatown at 8plus on a Saturday morning (almost 30 mins away from my place), she sure say I chio dio. Or..jia bak bo sai pang.

But I really jia bak bo sai pang ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! wtf. Nola I just really liked to eat toast and egg and tea as breakfast. Get the day started the right way!
