Birthday 2011!

Hello, last day of 2011!

I shall blog because today is the last day I can blog for the year! But I was looking around the photos and don't know where to begin as I haven't been blogging a lot and all the photos are all jumbled up and I didn't even organize them into folders nicely. Next year I'll do a better job!

Feeling was complicated..u know....ushering the new year in just 10 hours. It always is. Reflecting the year, making new plans for next year. This 1 year has been awesome but it passed a little too fast eh?

Met up with Step at the mall the day before my birthday. He was there, with cupcakes, balloon and holding a bouquet of roses. How cute.

Roses on the 1st day, but bloom like mad few days after, the size of my fist.

Awesome cupcakes. Sea salt & caramel, Christmas Red Velvet, Caramel Biscuits & Cream, Cookies & Cream, Chocolate Irish Cream, Devil's Food and Madagascar Vanilla Bean!

Cream of mushroom soup, spaghetti carbonara, a large 12 inch pizza with half of Pork Pepperoni and half of Pork Hawaiian at Pepperoni Pizzeria.

Went to Orchard after dinner. This year's Orchard Christmas Light Up theme is "Christmas In The Tropics". Streets after shopping streets filled with scintillating, glowing blue flower lights, turning Singapore’s shopping district into a huge flower garden. Each flower is composed of five little hearts bound together by a star, expressing the spirit of the season.

Marina Bay and Resort World has all setup their own Christmas decorations but I did not go to take a look even. Maybe next year!

Christmas blooms sponsored by Hitachi I think..because there's Hitachi banner all over the place. I actually think this year's decoration has nothing to shout about. It looks plain and mediocre and the colors are boring.

Tangs. One of the winner for best dressed.

They always have the most complicated designs. Last year's is hideous!

Every building in Orchard will all compete for the annual Best Dressed Building competition. This year's winner is Orchard Central which I did not take photo with.

We went into Ion in search of supper after walking the whole Orchard, and stumbled upon this little store in B4.

Turns out to be that awesome 4 fingers crispy spicy chicken.

Seafood birthday dinner with family at Defu Seafood Paradise. Chili crab (Singapore is all about chili crab..not very nice also) and the butter crab.

Everybody! Eldest sister and brother in law came back from Philly for 2 weeks.

Never tried butter crab before but turns out to be really good! I thought I'd get sick with too much butter but it did not! I guess that's why it's one of the must-order there.

Brother bought a very chocolatey cake from Jane's Cake station and it kinda melted a little. Incredibly light and moist!! And unlike most of the chocolate cakes and brownies, it didn't make me gross out even after finishing the whole piece of cake.

Dad was supposed to be here but rushed back hometown because the neighbors say it had been raining non stop and it's going to flood soon so he had to go back and pack things up!

Hmm...ok.

Abrupt end to the post because very lazy already.

Happy Birthday Boy!

The plan:
We have our romantic dinner, just both of us in one fine Italian restaurant. When we're done around 10pm then I'll insist to go check out the bars for Oktoberfest and woo! surprise! All his friends are waiting for him there for a good drinking birthday celebration!

How it turned out:
He picked the same place we're supposed to meet up with his friends for dinner. So in the end we reached around 7pm and I terpaksa tell him the "surprise" coz if not we would have left after dinner at 8pm wtf. We then sat there and waited for his friends for 3 hours since we agreed to meet at 10pm o_O haih.

Both of us had 1 pizza like almost 10 big slices (which is the best we had for the night), 1 pasta carbonara, 1 mushroom soup and 1 whole plate of pork ribs. We couldn't finish obviously so we left half of everything there. What a waste!


After a grueling 3 hours wait, finally everyone arrived.


They had lots of beers and 2 bottles of JD for the night.

They all drank liquor like drinking water. What a bunch of boozers! After a lot of shots everybody is still sane and not affected AT ALL and they left like they drank only Jasmine Tea -_-". Must drink with people like my bunch of non-alcoholic friends who made every single drinking session unforgettable only fun(ny) what wtf.

Kidding.

..No actually I'm not kidding.

Nevertheless I'm glad everyone made it. It wasn't a tough task to get everybody together. One message and everyone replied enthusiastically that they'll definitely make it for his birthday so I really really really really appreciate it =)

Mum's Birthday

I remember when I was a kid, my parents manage to get me what I really wanted or bring me to the place I love to eat for my birthday every time.

It's my mum's birthday today! And I didn't know what to get her! She's staying in Philadelphia now but I'm thinking even if she's in Singapore now I wont even know where to bring her to eat or where or what she really wants to eat. Most of the time we'll just bring her to eat something expensive which she probably won't even enjoy.

Do you? Do all of you really know what your mum REALLY wanted (as in material things)? I think the best gift for any mother is all of the kids stay happy and healthy. I guess that's what matters.

One Year Older, One Year Wiser.

I had a great great birthday weekend! Ah besides the fact that I got a year older /sucks but besides that all is well. I went back to PG for a short weekend getaway. Actually I didn't thought of going back until the bf suggested it and he said he thinks that's a great place to go celebrate the birthday since I have friends there and there's char kuay teow too!

The 1st place I dropped by is my facial place because god knows how long I haven't had any decent facial! I felt my face got so dull and dark and full of blackheads & bf tagged along. Later back at the hotel, we (err I mean me) kept looking at the mirror admiring the great work Wei Wei did! All the small bumps (acne?) and blackheads and whiteheads are all gone! And I felt my face lighted up a whole lot haha so kua zheong. We're both extremely satisfied seriously. I had 3 more facial sessions before the package finishes and bf suggested that we go back mid next year just to have that facial again so yay!

Is it me or did Penang changed a great deal? There're a few new malls and new condos coming up and the much talked about Straits Quay.

I will post the birthday photos soon..after I finish my team building photos urgh takes forever to finish it. I looked back at my archives and I realized that I used to be able to blog everything on the day that it happens late at night! Where did I find all that time!

An Absolutely Nothing Weekend.

Weekend was spent doing......ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! *jumps around in joy* I was supposed to be in KL for 2 weddings but because my mum is in Singapore so I just waste my KL tickets to stay around and teman her.

I haven't spent my weekends sleeping in and doing nothing for a long long time. Much needed rest. Brother and family went to KK since Thursday and I get to DRIVE TO WORK. I get to wake up an hour later but still reached office a tad bit too early..*sigh..pure heaven. Friday night I drove home and picked up my mum and went to the famous Roti Prata in Jalan Kayu, claimed by many to be the best Roti Prata in Singapore. Well, okay lah since I dont get to eat Kayu in Penang now I get to eat Roti Prata in Jalan Kayu okay also what. (Roti Canai in Singapore is called Roti Prata. Don't come here and order Roti Canai else people will look at you like you're some alien or something like that)

SATURDAY SLEPT IN WHOLE DAY. End of story.

Sunday woke up around 10am, got changed and went to Hougang Mall for a good hour of mani pampering, then picked up Indonesia tickets for next weekend. Got home around 3+ and picked up my brother at 5+. There ends my 4 days of car luxury. Sigh. Life sucks without car!



I have no idea where to get a good decent birthday cake so simply bought one Chocolate sponge cake with chocolate chunks on the outside for my sister in law's birthday!

I bought myself a pair of flats worth....SGD19.90 wtf cheapskate but I really needed a black color flats so..oh well. Also partly to congratulate self because the company announced base salary increment for all employees woohooooooooo and let's just say it's really not low at all huhuhuhuhuhuh. Lucky me the newbie!

On another more important note, it's my sister's birthday today so HAPPPPPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

My brother brought the little nephew to Compass Point for The Icing Room, also from BreadTalk family. It's a "design your own cake" shop where they will provide you with a baked cake and you are free to design it or add your own toppings and ribbons and everything is provided!



This, lady and gentleman, is the cake fully designed by the little boy! Very karerful and I believe except the spelling, everything is really drawn by him.

When he got home, he was singing Happy Birthday all by himself and clapped and cut the cake. Can he be any cuter hehe.

New Year Countdown + Birthdays!

I was supposed to be back in Johor on New Year's Eve already but I postponed it a day because I miss my friends and I hadn't been hanging out with them at all after I start paktor aih why like that I also don know fml.

The plan was to celebrate Playboy Yap and Shu's birthday in Qbay because we heard rumors that traffic everywhere will be very congested until you go crazy so we decided to just eat in Qbay besides they say got dong li hua ce (动力火车 i think）and Tank concert. Not the tank car as in the boyband Tank dont know from where. I only learn about this Tank on that day because they told me got concert opposite can go check it out coz got Tank whoa whoa whoa phewitt who is Tank wtf.

Okay back to the plan. The plan is to makan in Qbay then go for Tank lol and then go somewhere to hug and kiss each other for countdown and then drink our new year away.


#1 Another 10 of them went to watch Avatar. I also haven't watch but they decided not to because it's Shu's birthday mar must sacrifice a bit lol. Nola the truth is I just didn't have the cinema mood that day. So now I'm left alone. Anyone havent watch Avatar and we can go together-gether. Watch movie with me very fun wan okay.

#5 With the birthday boy and girl. It was a scam that night. Shu thought we're celebrating her birthday only so she expected the TGIF waiter and waitresses to come out and sing for her. Then we took out the cake and it's written Yeap Cheong Siak. lol both her and CS expression is priceless. Fun yet quite cruel though. But of course we did get her cake out in the end. Custom made ladybird wan summore okay!


#6 CS's cupcakes. Very chocolatey! I didn't get to eat any because it's supposed to be as decoration only not meant to be eaten.


#7 Almost everyone.


#8 Shu and CS had to stand on the chair and sing song. Can't TGIF come up with something more creative already! I had already done that 8 years ago when I celebrate my birthday in TGIF during uni years! Anyway they put the cake really far away and Shu had to blow the candles off but don't fret no problem for Shu because she always does great blow jobs.

After dinner which is around 9pm, we are supposed to go for Tank whoo whoo~ wtf but did not because we figured Tank is the most popular besides dong li huo ce and they probably won't be coming out and sing until near midnight plus there should be a lot of leng zai leng mui kiki lala and we're honestly too old to be squeezing our way through in the field. So we walked from Qbay back to LSP's Putra Place and spent the night...watching Teen's Choice Award on TV. WHY LIKE THAT I also don't know why we so boring lah has age really caught up with us!!

We watched and talked until midnight then we realized it's 10 seconds to countdown so everyone got a drink and did the seconds countdown then we drank and that's about it. No hugging no kissing no wishing each other Happy 2010 lol and worst of all, Qbay has this massive fireworks show and we're in LSP house and we couldn't see it because it's blocked by another apartment. We can only catch glimpse of it through the window of the apartment block across us that reflected the fireworks fuck our life. So all of us squeezed in the balcony and watched the apartment window and shouted like mad lol don't know at what and for what.

We seriously should have left the apartment 5 minutes before countdown and go opposite road to catch the fireworks lor. Anyway all of us blamed LSP and asked him to buy a new house to watch the fireworks next year.

Joe then setup his umbrella and camera on the tripod to take 2010 photos in LSP house.

So that is how I spent my New Year Countdown!

The plan initially was to go clubbing and countdown there but because we can't celebrate birthday and shout happy birthday there so we decided to go LSP house instead. Which is quite weird because by midnight we aren't really celebrating brithday also. Birthday already celebrated in TGIF what right. Ne mind. Save money mah.

Haiz anyway

Just now I was writing half way and very gung-ho about describing everything we did during NY Eve then I had to go do something important and when I come back I no mood already. Not only no mood but in fact quite down.

So someone asked me, if I didn't put effort into something and in the end that something didn't come to me would I be disappointed. I said of course not lah since I am well aware I didn't put effort into it mar. But truth is, still a bit down wan even though you already expected it. BUt never mind! Why waste my life on something I don't like right? I couldn't say I really regretted not spending effort though. I just hope this year I won't be stuck doing something I didn't like. If it's gonna be something I don't like, it better comes with a lot of money wtf.

I haven't really had any NY resolutions yet. I don't know what I wanna do this year! Every year the list is never ending wan but this year dont know why nothing comes up. Is that a bad sign.
