Jacky Cheung!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't been to any concert my whole life. I am not willing to spend that amount of money to watch someone sing just for 3 hours.

BUT IT'S JACKY CHEUNG! I've always wanted to go to his concert but always missed it so every time we sing his songs in our karaoke sessions, I'd be thinking how nice it would be if I can go to his concert and sing with him.

IT FINALLY HAPPENED! JACKY CHEUNG 1/2 CENTURY TOUR SINGAPORE 2011!

He has 5 shows in Singapore and we bought his 1st show for S$180 each, which was yesterday night, and....it's over now =( Many told me that its very likely that most of the songs would be in Mandarin but it's not true. He was telling his story in Cantonese the whole night and most ( more than 50%) of the performances were in Cantonese. Audience ranging from 30 till 50 years old. Most of them are there to relive their memories I guess. There weren't any young groups or ah bengs ah lians in sight, as expected, since 四大天王 was back in the 80s and 90s. Now young people only know Rain and Lady Gaga.

It feels so fucking surreal. To listen to someone I've listened from the CD and TV for 16 (?) years singing live right in front of me.

Ohai iz me. Buying Burger King before going in the stadium.

My view! It looks much further in photos and videos but in reality I felt it's quite a good view. I cant see his face clearly but that's alright. The live performance environment is too awesome to care whether I can see his wrinkles or not.

His voice is astounding and flawless throughout the concert. Most of the time he sang slow solo song and the screen was just showing his face and his throat to show us his famous 震音. The girl beside me was definitely a huge fan too. She sang along to all his songs and for the whole 3 hours she's swinging her glowstick like damn high like that.

This one purposely recorded to dedicate to VSoon. For all the times we pretend to be Jacky Cheung singing this song 23487264376123 times in the karaoke.

Every time before we start singing, Vsoon will say 山上的朋友你们好 in cantonese. For your information, Jacky Cheung really said that in the concert wtf except he didn't say hill, he just said friends up there haha.

The concert started with a short story of Jacky Cheung being 花花公子then he met this girl (Shu Qi) then get married then broke up, all illustrated with his songs.

如果, 爱. This was really touching.

不是每段爱情都会有美好的结果

但每一段关系如果缺少了

爱与包容

就注定会失败.

He also made a tribute to the late Lydia Sum and had big dolls of her dancing around.

他來聽我的演唱會. I really listened to him since I'm 13 till now.

Halfway through the concert, the security warned the guy next to me for recording so I stopped too. Stephen managed to capture everything though =)

Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Feeling so contented the whole time. Until the end of the concert I still cannot believe I just saw Jacky Cheung live. Even when I wake up the next morning his songs kept ringing in my head.

He will have another round of concert in Malaysia too around December. If you have not watched Jacky Cheung live before, then you should go grab the tickets. It was worth EVERY SINGLE CENT.

LIFE

I was cleaning my extremely messy desktop and found this.

I wanted to credit the owner but I don't even remember where I got it from!

Finalist of the 7 Wonders of The World.

I just came back from a 5D4N hot and humid Cambodia.

Weather was insane! Not as bad as Vietnam's 41'C but still almost 38'C! I thought Angkor Wat is one of the 7 wonders of the world, but apparently it's not, just a finalist =(

Eat. Learn. Move.

3 guys, 44 days, 11 countries, 18 flights, 38 thousand miles, an exploding volcano, 2 cameras and almost a terabyte of footage... all to turn 3 ambitious linear concepts based on movement, learning and food, into 3 beautiful and hopefully compelling short films.

Banana Pancakes.

It's surprising how a little song like this can bring back so much memories.

You probably would think it's boring but I like how chillax Jack Johnson is.

That winter when I first listen to Jack Johnson, I tried ordering banana pancakes from Video Cafe but they're out of it every time (banana not in season?) so we had to take the blueberry pancakes instead. I tried to search for some photo and this is the only one I have wtf but it's okay I can still remember the cafe clearly. I guess when you enjoy the moment you won't bother taking photos. I wonder if Video Cafe is still open now though, because even back then there weren't many customers. Actually I meant no customers at all..except...that old woman at the corner, which I doubt she pays also. It's called Video Cafe because...they play videos duh I mean you can sit there whole night watching movies after movies but just pay for a $3 hot chocolate.

Swensens And Japanese.

The boss dragged all of us out for lunch on him out of a sudden. Probably 3rd or 4th this year. This time it's in Swensen's and each of us get to order a main entrée of our choice, 1 side, 1 mushroom soup, 1 ice cream and 1 soda.

End up we ordered all the sides in the menu since there's almost 18 of us.

#1 The guys. Not that I want to curi take their photo but because they got their food earlier and the girls have nothing to do except complaining why ours are so slow.

#2 The famous U.S fries. konon la. Not very nice also. But I finished most of it since nobody else wants it.

#3 My side. The spicy chix fingers.

#4 My entrée. Grilled barramundi with lemon butter sauce with mashed potato (that flower-like thing). Only managed to eat half of it coz I'm stuffed from all the sides!

By the way,
I did my Japanese final exam today woohoo finally after 6 looong months. I don't know if I will pass (I sure hope I do) but if fail then no choice but to go back and re-sit lor. I get 1 month rest before the next level starts, so yay to free Monday nights!

I'm pretty happy with my year so far. I think I made good progress, unlike previous few years where resolution is made but never fulfilled. Previous few years are spent doing absolutely nothing which is..kinda fun too wtf.

So now I have to concentrate on that one item which had been on my list for like..FOREVER...which is...losing off the extra weights la what else! I can foresee it failing also this year. I tried to exercise..really! I ran for 300m (not even 1 football field) and started to feel out of breath and my vision is blur and I want to faint. I'm serious! Is that what age does to people! /finding excuse wtf. So yah...I need to make time for bodyrocking 3 days a week at least! (i actually wrote 5 then change to 4 now 3 wtf).
