Happy Merdeka!

I'm so tired man seriously I haven't worked that hard for like a million years a bit not used to it. I forgot to eat dinner yesterday coz I worked straight until 1am then I tired and I give up then I asked Step to come online so we can webcam hurhurhur

I already kicked off the run so while I wait, let me blog a bit since I'm quite bored now.

#1 Gifts from Melbourne! The boy came back last week and he bought 12 gifts for the 12 missing days hurhurhur. But he a bit tipu wan coz he use his skiing ticket as 1 of the gift wtf can u see at the bottom left there. HOW CAN!

#2 huhuhu greedy me. He bought lots of chips so we kept eating chips only. And he also bought Cleo Au magazine for me got freebies inside also.

#3 See he so mean. HE BOUGHT CROSS EARRINGS FOR ME huhuhuh. Before he give me he still made me promise I'm gonna wear the "thing" that he buy. One of his effort in trying to convert me but failed terribly.

#4 A surprise from him yesterday. Coz it's not even anniversary or my birthday or any date worth remembering. But because I'm giving him a hard time coz I'm stress so I very unhappy so he's trying to make me happy.

I'm going down to KL in 5 hours! Yay Happy Merdeka! Nothing to be happy about it except it's giving me holiday man.

Food Cravings.

I always have cravings.

Let's talk about the more recent ones. At one time I crave for Kim Gary. Everyday lunch and dinner I want to eat Kim Gary. And I also forced all my friends to go together with me until they all takut Kim Gary already eat until puke that kind. Now I don't go as often lor a bit sien liao but still go because it's air-conditioned and parking is indoor.

Then I crave for Max the dim sum place opposite Qbay. Every lunch I want to go. Weekend also go. Everyday go go go. Then one day I just got so sick of it I didn't want to even step foot inside. I think I almost 1 year didn't go already wtf.

I also crave for Yee Mein soup. There's this place opposite the Tesco Extra near Pekaka. But not that keng only every week maybe once or twice only. But this one until now I still go religiously lor. I'm a big Yee Mein fan. I go KL also eat "Man Yee Mein" coz I think only KL and southern states got. In PG, they only have Ee Fu Mee which is totally different and not nice at all wan. I think Step getting sien with me liao everyday ask me what I want to eat I say Yee Mein only so he has to ask his friends where to find nice Yee Mein heh.

Tonight hor, I crave for

#1 Ham Chin Peng which is a bit too ham lor. I actually wanted Yau Char Kwai also but couldn't find. This ham chin peng stall is near Kimberly Street opposite Tai Tong Dim Sum shop. They also sell Bak Tong Gou. I don't know what it's called in English ler.

#2 Tang Yuan! Favorite. It's RM3 per packet for 2 big ones plus like 8 small ones. The 2 big ones have peanut filling and black sesame filling. Mine is the one with Or Teng ( Black Sugar) coz nicer ler I think. The stall is opposite Trader's Hotel in GeorgeTown. They're open from 6pm onwards and closed on Wednesday and Sunday.

#3 Peanut filling Tang Yuan.

#4 I really really felt like eating BiHun so I wanted to go ta pao but then remembered I have Bihun at home so I went home and fry myself with egg and chicken.

So total, my dinner took 2.5 hours including driving to Georgetown and back and cook.

BIG BIG DINNER A BIT GUILTY LOR ALL THIS IS LIKE 1KG BUT THEN I VERY SATISFIED LER NOW HOW hohohoho.

By the way, anyone know where I can buy yau char kwai and ham chin peng or not??!! I want yau char kwai with milo!!!!

Weekend In Malacca.

Weekend was tiring but fun nonetheless.

I flew down with FireFlyz. This is my virgin fly with FireFlyz okay but it seriously is more convenient because it arrives in Subang instead of LCCT. Subang is like just 15 mins away from Damansara whereas LCCT needs like 1 hour. So minus the jam, minus the time, minus the distance..Subang is actually a lot better but then I bought 1 way for like RM140 which is freaking expensive lah! Later i'll just check what's the cheapest price for PG to Subang that they can offer. Maybe I bought it last minute hence the pricey ticket.

#1 Ohai Iz Me.

#2 My first experience with propeller planes. Many people said it's unsafe. I don't know about that but it's quite noisy and bumpy. Not sure if it's due to the propeller planes or the weather is just bad.

On Sat, we drove to Malacca to meet up with the family. Went down because this month is my sisters and brother birthday month and sort of like gathered and celebrate together.

We stayed at Fenix Inn, the same place I stayed the last time I was in Malacca. The place is really small and not even a hotel but I chose it because it's only RM120 per night and it's walking distance to St Paul/Dahtaran Megamall/Mahkota Parade/Makko Nyonya food. The location is pretty good and compensates the poor quality of the hotel haha.

#3 My 2 single bed room that I shared with Step. 2 single bed room is slightly bigger than the room with 1 queen size bed. The room is clean but there's this bad carpet smell as if no one has stayed in for 50 yrs like that wtf. Step sprayed his cologne all over but it only makes things worse.

#4 OHai Iz Me again. I cut hair again by the way coz the weather these days is HORRIBLE! I went to the saloon and the hair stylist asked me if I wanted to do hair treatment or what I said NO LAH I want to cut hair then he looked at me and said "but...your hair very short ler how to cut" wtf. I cut it anyhow. So my hair is very short now like a boy.

We didn't really go anywhere in Malacca. What is there to go about ler I practically grew up going around in MLK I've seen there been there done that wtf. So the more important thing is to go eat my favorite restaurant Makko. The rest is just go to Chicken Rice Ball and Cendol and Satay Celup. I didn't take any photo because they're all the same with my previous entry mar. Not sien meh keep looking at same photos.

We then simply went to St Paul Church for a walk and then to Dahtaran Megamall and then Jonker Street. That's about it. Parents and sister went to the Pirate Ship and the tower ride but I didn't join them because me and Step went to Bukit Rambai Industrial Zone to visit a factory for his business purpose lah.

#5 Sis and Martin at St Paul Church.

#6 Parents and Ethan in front of St Paul Church also. See how much my nephew has grown!!!

#7 Step and I at...St Paul Church again lor.

#8 Ethan is so cute okay he kept insisting to hold the umbrella himself.

I also got a free ride from airport back home when I got back to PG coz I helped Joe bring back his very expensive lens. Hand carry okay! So I asked him eh when he need to bring stuff back pls let me know I'm very happy to help coz no need to spend RM27 to get a cab mar haha.

Next week I'll be going back to Johor! Yay! So long never go back to Sgt already but I think Step quite reluctant coz he think Sgt is boring haha. But is like that lah laid back life mar haha wtf.

Roti Bakar here i come!

Seriously wan, Sgt roti bakar nicer wan.

12 Most Annoying Types of Facebookers.

My sister just sent me an article in CNN where they listed out the 12 most annoying types of Facebookers. Ah I can't agree more!

Source here

The Let-Me-Tell-You-Every-Detail-of-My-Day Bore. "I'm waking up." "I had Wheaties for breakfast." "I'm bored at work." "I'm stuck in traffic." You're kidding! How fascinating! No moment is too mundane for some people to broadcast unsolicited to the world. Just because you have 432 Facebook friends doesn't mean we all want to know when you're waiting for the bus.

The Self-Promoter. OK, so we've probably all posted at least once about some achievement. And sure, maybe your friends really do want to read the fascinating article you wrote about beet farming. But when almost EVERY update is a link to your blog, your poetry reading, your 10k results or your art show, you sound like a bragger or a self-centered careerist.

The Friend-Padder. The average Facebook user has 120 friends on the site. Schmoozers and social butterflies -- you know, the ones who make lifelong pals on the subway -- might reasonably have 300 or 400. But 1,000 "friends?" Unless you're George Clooney or just won the lottery, no one has that many. That's just showing off.

The Town Crier. "Michael Jackson is dead!!!" You heard it from me first! Me, and the 213,000 other people who all saw it on TMZ. These Matt Drudge wannabes are the reason many of us learn of breaking news not from TV or news sites but from online social networks. In their rush to trumpet the news, these people also spread rumors, half-truths and innuendo. No, Jeff Goldblum did not plunge to his death from a New Zealand cliff.

The TMIer. "Brad is heading to Walgreens to buy something for these pesky hemorrhoids." Boundaries of privacy and decorum don't seem to exist for these too-much-information updaters, who unabashedly offer up details about their sex lives, marital troubles and bodily functions. Thanks for sharing.

The Bad Grammarian. "So sad about Fara Fauset but Im so gladd its friday yippe". Yes, I know the punctuation rules are different in the digital world. And, no, no one likes a spelling-Nazi schoolmarm. But you sound like a moron.

The Sympathy-Baiter. "Barbara is feeling sad today." "Man, am I glad that's over." "Jim could really use some good news about now." Like anglers hunting for fish, these sad sacks cast out their hooks -- baited with vague tales of woe -- in the hopes of landing concerned responses. Genuine bad news is one thing, but these manipulative posts are just pleas for attention.

The Lurker. The Peeping Toms of Facebook, these voyeurs are too cautious, or maybe too lazy, to update their status or write on your wall. But once in a while, you'll be talking to them and they'll mention something you posted, so you know they're on your page, hiding in the shadows. It's just a little creepy.

The Crank. These curmudgeons, like the trolls who spew hate in blog comments, never met something they couldn't complain about. "Carl isn't really that impressed with idiots who don't realize how idiotic they are." [Actual status update.] Keep spreading the love.

The Paparazzo. Ever visit your Facebook page and discover that someone's posted a photo of you from last weekend's party -- a photo you didn't authorize and haven't even seen? You'd really rather not have to explain to your mom why you were leering like a drunken hyena and French-kissing a bottle of Jagermeister.

The Maddening Obscurist. "If not now then when?" "You'll see..." "Grist for the mill." "John is, small world." "Dave thought he was immune, but no. No, he is not." [Actual status updates, all.] Sorry, but you're not being mysterious -- just nonsensical.

The Chronic Inviter. "Support my cause. Sign my petition. Play Mafia Wars with me. Which 'Star Trek' character are you? Here are the 'Top 5 cars I have personally owned.' Here are '25 Things About Me.' Here's a drink. What drink are you? We're related! I took the 'What President Are You?' quiz and found out I'm Millard Fillmore! What president are you?" You probably mean well, but stop. Just stop. I don't care what president I am -- can't we simply be friends?

Pork Chop

Hello everyone!

Thanks for the support for the previous entry either through the comments or the msns. But don't worry seriously. I'm writing that because.......i am out of things to blog and i lazy to find photos to post =)

Don't misunderstand the intention of the entry. It wasn't an angry post and of course, I still love all my friends for being who they are. They just think I'm sporting enough to handle jokes which is why they did it and I'm not pissed at them or anything.

I appreciate honesty. I'm fine if my friends told me I've gained weight or Step too. Because then I would KNOW that we did gain weight and need to do something about it. What I DON'T appreciate are the public jokes. Public meaning jokes with people that are not close with me. If it's within a bunch of close friends, that's fine because we're all close mar it's fine to be honest about things. But in the presence of strangers or people who're not close, don't do it lah then give other people who haven't seen Step a bad impression of him already. Okie guys?

Anyway,

*pic credited to the PDC Comm Board.

Yesterday I very cham lor. Suddenly kena called down to be the replacement of one of the girls for the ping pong competition. I so sporting mar so I said okay lah I can stand there to fill in the blank wtf. But like pork like that wtf on the board keep kena chop. A bit embarrasing summore drag my partner down. He so semangat and everything but I kept hitting the ball to don't know where wtf. Haih. He summore sent email to me and asked me if he did/said something wrong why I kept saying sorry to him wtf. SO nice.

U.S.A: Napa Valley

Napa Valley is 1.5 hours drive from San Francisco. Since we have nowhere else to go, Candy planned for a day trip to Napa.

The last time I went to Napa was 4 years ago. At that time I just drove pass Napa but didn't stop at any Winery for wine tasting because we didn't know which to go to and didn't even google for it. Now also I didn't google anything just follow Candy's plan only heh.

First we went to V Sattui Winery, voted the Winery of Year.

#1 Parents in front of the V Sattui entrance board.

#2 We brought sandwiches from Safeway and had lunch at the V Sattui Picnic Ground. That park was for the guests that bought food from the cafe but we went in anyhow hehe.

#3 So many types of cheese!

#4 Took bread and crackers with cheese.

#5 This winery is really packed. There're so many people at the counter tasting and buying wine. I couldn't even get near the counter.

#6 Not wine. Is grape bath.

#7 I didn't sample any wine because I never liked wine. Plus I'm not going to buy anyway.

#8 They also showed all kinds of wine glasses used for red wine or white wine and everything else.

#9 Candy and mum in front of all V Sattui's wine.

#10 The V Sattui vineyards outside the tasting room.

#11 There's another building to store the oak barrels.

#12 The same building is used to store other equipments used like the ancient grape hand crusher.

#13 That is...not the building haha. That's where the toilet is located.

#14 The picnic ground again. Everyone just hang out there because the weather is so nice that day.

#15 Parents in front of Chardonnay.

#16 I think this is Chardonnay too.

#17 We then drove another 10 mins or so down the same road to another winery - Robert Mondavi. This is a lot bigger than V Sattui.

#18 Robert Mondavi's vineyard. Sooooooooooo nice.

#19 Me!

#20 Candy in front of the Oakville.

#21 The oak barrels used to store and age wine in the temperature controlled room.

#22 Outside of the winery is...ORANGE TREE hohoho call me katak di bawah tempurung or what lah but I'm so excited because I've never seen orange.....up in a tree wtf.

#23 I asked mum to make sure dad is not in the photo and she took the photo and told me confirm no dad wtf.

All the wineries have private tours. These tours will bring you in the vineyard and then end with wine tasting and they'll tell you the history of the winery and also the wine making process. We didn't sign up for any tours at both wineries because Candy went before and she roughly told us the process so we can save up the money hurhurhur.

I really don't appreciate wine. It's too sour for me. I wonder if there's any types of wine that is more fruity? Any recommendation?

We drove back around 4 something so that we can avoid the after office traffic at the freeway. Had dinner at this La Mei Zi place back in San Francisco.

#24 This is also introduced by Mei and I had once 4 years ago.

#25 It's SzeChuan food and everything is a bit too salty for me esp the Ma Po Tofu. San Tung is a lot more better heh.

Oh btw, today is my brother's birthday so HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAT!!!!

Why Din Lose More Weight?!!!

Ohai! Iz Me!

Yes I'm back. Turns out it's not H1N1 afterall huhuhuhu. But I had 4 days of fever and 2 days of bad flu and now I'm okay except a bit of phlegm but that's fine!

Being sick sucks shit except that I lost weight. But not much also what is this! I was hoping 6 days probably 6 pounds wan mar haha a bit kua zheong wtf.

Anyway, the boy is in Melbourne! Yah skiing and snowboarding his life away while I die here. He's there for 7 days already and 7 more days to go before I see him again boohoo and then we're going to Malacca and then KL and then going back to Segamat for Independence Day!

Yay Malacca here I come! I miss the FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD.

Fever Went Down A Bit

These few days are hellish. After I went to the clinic that day I slept the entire night and kept taking medicine. Even getting out of bed is a torture to get water or to go toilet haih anything more than 5 minutes I feel dizzy already so cham. I drank milo for bfast milo for lunch milo for dinner now I'm so sick of Milo I only manage to drink half of it this morning haih. No family around is very pitiful lor everything have to do myself.

Today I felt a little better the fever went down a bit. I kept sleeping and waking up for water then sleep then wake up to eat medicine. Now I just get out of bed to check mails and stuff.

Thanks for all of you for dropping random messages for me and those who offered to bring me food and those who offered to bring me to hospital if there's a need. Me so touched. I hope by tonight my fever would completely go down coz it seems like it now.

For others who knew you have a sick friend at home dying but couldn't care less to even drop a message, I hope you rot in hell alone. God has no pity towards uncaring, self centered, unworthy bastards who care only for themselves.

Ahh..The sick devil ramblings...

I'm getting dizzy let me go back to bed bye.

Not Fit for Anything.

I woke up this morning fine albeit a little tired.

I went for breakfast fine. Had milo ice and red bean pau. Felt a little too full after that. Which is weird. 1 milo ice and 1 red bean pau is not enough for the godzilla ever.

I went for lunch fine. Ordered zap fan with luncheon meat. Left 50% of my rice unattended. Which is weird because I usually have big bowls of rice with my favorite luncheon meat.

After lunch,

I'm not fine. I started shivering. Then headache. I stayed till almost 4.30 and couldn't stand it so went to the doctor.

The doctor found me unfit for work for 2 damn days and 1 weekend. He said he's amazed I still look fine from the outside because my fever is quite high.

"
You yourself just came back from US and Thailand a little more than 2 weeks ago. You're in very close contact with someone who just came back from Thailand a week ago (aka the boy). Your symptoms are similar to the H1N1 (I think he's exaggerating or he just said that to everyone who went for consultation). If you find yourselves still having fever on Friday, please go to General Hospital for H1n1 checkup.
"

Why is everything about H1N1? I don't have damn H1N1 okay doctor. I have similar symptoms few times a year and I know myself more than you know me. It's just the damn fever kicking in.

Okay anyway

I'm getting weaker and weaker as I type so bye.

U.S.A: Day 1 in San Francisco

I had trouble sleeping so Candy bought me mild sleeping pills to overcome the jet lag. Plus my dad snores so loud it kept all of us awake esp Candy haha she hates it when people snore coz she can't sleep with the slightest noise ever.

#1 You can get Simply Sleep in Safeway. Pop 2 pills half an hour before you want to sleep. Try not to read anything or use your laptop or anything to distract yourself from sleeping wtf. And believe me, it works.

We then drove and park near Chinatown because it's free parking Sunday! We wanted to bring the parents to eat DimSum coz I think they like chinese food more lor. And where else to find Chinese food but Chinatown?

So we went to this Dim Sum place that we frequent everytime I'm in San Francisco. It wasn't packed, much to my surprise. That's because everytime I go before this I always have to wait for seat. I forgot what's the name of the place or the street name so I can't let you know now.

#2 Purposely looked for Da Yuan. The shop I always go to for Ginseng. I bought some Ginseng for drinks and soup for the boy's parents.

#3 Walking around Chinatown for the 103492523746245935689th time.

#4 Finally found the gate at the entrance of Chinatown. We couldn't find it at first but then we figured we should head to the direction where the ang moh is coming from because ang moh refers to maps and would start from the entrance. True enough we did and the method works!

#5 We then walked to Union Square. Quite tiring and pretty chilly.

#6 Walked all the way down to the tram station in front of Forever21. I had time to rush in and bought a headband and few blouses while my parents and Candy queue for tram haha.

#7 My greedy sister obviously think the weather is too hot for her so she bought the Cold Stone Ice Cream from the shop 1 street away from Forever21.

#8 1 of the tram stopped at the road side so we hurried up to snap like ten thousand photos.

#9 Look at the amount of people queuing! from the far left all the way behind the tram to the right. We waited almost 45 mins or so. That's why I have time for some F21 shopping hohohoho.

#10 The tram operator with the gear.

#11 Candy and my parents on tram!

#12 Passed by this Chi Sin Buddhist & Taoist Association hehe.

#13 And then what else but my favourite bubble tea cafe Quickly. Malaysia also got lah in JB. Not sure if KL has it. But everytime I go US I will find Quickly and drink like crazy.

#14 Passed by all the town houses.

#15 And up the hill where we can see Alcatraz Island (also know as The Rock) from far. It served as a lighthouse previously then was converted to a military prison then finally a federal prison. I wanted to visit Alcatraz everytime I'm in SF but never made it there, coz...too expensive haih.

#16 FINALLY! OUR DESTINATION..LOMBARD STREET, famously known for its crookedest street in the world!

#17 We only took like less than 10 photos as a family because 1 of us always need to be the photographer. But Lombard St has so many tourists it aint tough to find someone to help out!

#18 The ang moh summore can say "yi er san" wtf.

#19 Me and Candy. Why she looks like my younger sister geh haih.

#20 View from the top of Lombard Street. You can see the whole stretch of road winding from top but all the way straight to the end! I love SF!!!

#21 We walked from Lombard St but passed by the field where lots of people just lie down because it's so summer. Crazy wan you know how cold is it or not. See that guy on the right wear winter jacket okay.

#22 Passed by lots of people doing break dancing on the way to Pier 39. Stopped and admired them for a while. There're just a lot of people performing at the street outside Pier 39. It's always crowded! And I love love love it there.

#23 Us in Pier 39. Freaking crowded.

#24 And here is the place we found my dad's favorite food! Candy wanted to introduce Clam Chowder to my parents but didn't expect them to like it because they only like Chinese food. BUT MUCH TO OUR SURPRISE MY DAD LOVED IT LIKE CRAZY AND FINISHED EVERYTHING AND LOOKED SO SATISFIED. hohohoho we finally found something my dad likes!

#25 It's one of the cafes in Pier 39. We just randomly picked one and ordered 2 clam chowder with bread bowl plus 1 fish & chips and fries. Haih so satisfying my dad loved it.

#26 So sunny yet so cold. That's my only thin jacket adoi. Nearly wanna die.

#27 Dad and mum posing. My dad satisfied from clam chowder hohohohoho.

#28 I took one at the exact same spot using tripod during Christmas 2007 so cham.

#29 Yachts parked on the way to Ghiradelli.

#30 My pretty sister who is jobless now haha.

#31 Finally after a long long tiring walk we reached Ghirardelli the chocolate factory. I walked around but refused to buy anything coz too expensive haha. Wasted all the walk haih.

#32 On the way to Ghirardelli Square, passed by Kelvin's workplace, Parkside Lending.

#33 Also went to Kara cupcakes but didn't manage to buy anything coz Candy who went to get the car is there already so we have to hurry out.

At night,

we were too tired to go anywhere for dinner coz we walked the whole damn day! So we went back to hotel, showered and rested for a while. Around 9 something we walked out of Travelodge to IHoP - International House of Pancake for dinner. It's right outsdie of Travelodge so it's so convenient.

Then we call it a night after dinner! I stayed to online for a while to chat with the boy but took the pill already so fell asleep around 11 or so.

Day 3 at Napa Valley up next!
