Last year I swore I'd dress up for Halloween this year. But I didn't know it's Halloween until.....it's Halloween wtf. Proves just how much I don't give a hoot at all. I'll try again next year.
Need a BBL.
Happy Birthday Boy!
We have our romantic dinner, just both of us in one fine Italian restaurant. When we're done around 10pm then I'll insist to go check out the bars for Oktoberfest and woo! surprise! All his friends are waiting for him there for a good drinking birthday celebration!
How it turned out:
He picked the same place we're supposed to meet up with his friends for dinner. So in the end we reached around 7pm and I terpaksa tell him the "surprise" coz if not we would have left after dinner at 8pm wtf. We then sat there and waited for his friends for 3 hours since we agreed to meet at 10pm o_O haih.
Both of us had 1 pizza like almost 10 big slices (which is the best we had for the night), 1 pasta carbonara, 1 mushroom soup and 1 whole plate of pork ribs. We couldn't finish obviously so we left half of everything there. What a waste!
After a grueling 3 hours wait, finally everyone arrived.
They had lots of beers and 2 bottles of JD for the night.
..No actually I'm not kidding.
Nevertheless I'm glad everyone made it. It wasn't a tough task to get everybody together. One message and everyone replied enthusiastically that they'll definitely make it for his birthday so I really really really really appreciate it =)

Riverside Bistro
We spent 1st night in Phnom Penh lazing away in Riverside Bistro, which is smacked right at the heart of Phnom Penh riverfront. The Cambodians spend their whole night along the road dancing and strolling along the riverfront.
It's quite a long stretch of road. This is the line dance group. Down the road there's the breakdancers, and further down is the hip hops'.
We randomly picked one of the cafes to laze away our 1st night in Phnom Penh.
Everything in Cambodia is in USD (food, clothing, accommodation, tuk tuks etc). This bistro's food is quite pricey. Each piece of cake is ~$3.50-$5.50. You would expect the country to serve like $1 cake right haha.
The bistro's packed with tourists for the night. Beer is very cheap during happy hours though. It's more worth it to drink beer compared to a Jasmine tea(bag).
We sat there from 7pm till...9.30 10pm? We have NOTHING to do. Phnom Penh has nothing to offer at night. But it was fun not doing anything wasting life away.
Just how crowded the street is.
He looked at it and said OK $3. We're all dumbfounded and did not know how to respond for like 10 secs or so wtf. Coz we're all thinking whether we should say $2 WTF. In the end we paid him $3 coz even my mum who's super frugal said $2 is too little for 4 of us and she just couldn't bring herself to say $2 to the driver HAHA wtf
Even until today I still laugh at that 10 secs of complete silence moment.
Pretty Puppy In Town
We ordered the Izakaya Set $125 that came with 4 mugs of Asahi and a whole bunch of random stuff.
The waiter gave us this 'thing' and Hwa asked him if it's edible or for decoration purposes haha. Turns out its some fried pasta sticks which we munched away with the beer.
Only thing I'm happy with is this Kimchi Nabae set. We can't stop drinking and asking the waitress to refill the spicy soup. So addictive. Overall I'm sorely disappointed with the food. We expected more from all the ravings.
That's one of our puppy visiting from KL. Taking photos together with her is nightmare. She has always been fair-skinned and has the smallest love shape face and tiniest body. Makes everybody else unhappy with themselves wtf. Hui Ching was there too but she hates taking photos and possibly would hate being posted here too haha.
Everytime I meet up with the girls, I left feeling like some overweight beast. Argh! Only yesterday I told myself I shall stop eating 2 man's portion of food, but ended up having 1 big bowl of cereal, 1 banana, 1 bread for breakfast, and still hungry =(

Macarons.
He insisted them to be stacked this way for photo. When I try to rearrange it he will frown and protest "NOT LIKE THISSSSSSS". Then he kept mumbling 'like burger, like burger' when he was eating O_o
And of course, I'd prefer vanilla cupcakes with oreo buttercream anytime over macarons. Other than being pretty pastel colorful & sweet, there's really nothing special about it.
Sweet Surprise.
How nice it is if I'm a kid again. Those times when I don't know anything and get excited over everything.

Daniel Meets The Fans.
We went to Overtime Dempsey Hill right after work today to catch Daniel's 'Meet the Fan' session. Don't know who is Daniel?
Daniel is................ 陈晓东. haha. I can almost hear the "Ohhhhhhhhhhh" under your breath. We're not his fans but Evon is. I still remember clearly almost all 10 of us had a sleepover in LiHe's house when we're 13?14? and watched 初恋无限touch together!
We all loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee the movie and loveeeeeeeeee him and loveeeeeeeeee the song in it and I think most of us bought his cassette. All of us wanted to grow up to find that kind of love ;)
Meet the Fan session starts at 8.30pm and we reached at 7pm, even then all the tables are fully occupied and we're lucky to get a 2 person table. We took it and squeezed in anyway.
She bought the $70 limited edition album. And she's also the 1st person to shake Daniel's hand tonight.
He look like he hasn't aged at all. He look exactly like how he was 10 years ago! I didn't know any of his songs so I was pretty bored. Evon, however, went on stage to get her album signed.
We tried Overtime's supposedly very famous own brewed beer - Starker Aromatic Beer. Buy 1 Free Half for $21.20. HuiChing hated it because it's bland and it taste nothing like a beer. Food is not worthy of the price too. Fire Pork is not crispy, not spicy, tasteless. We're so disappointed with every single dish.

안녕하 세요 (annyeonghaseyo)
I just figured out why the photos in previous entries are super blur. Adjusted the HTML setting and suddenly it became crystal clear. Now picnic look so much more appealing!
All looking exhausted after a day's work and rushing to the city with bus/MRT to reach at 7 so we can have some good Kenny Rogers for dinner.
‘Kata love Mavis'
Our gift to pretty Mavis who recently got married in Korea. She went through the very traditional Korean wedding and took awesome fairytale wedding photos!
We don't get to meet everyday, maybe only once every 2 months, at best once a month with everyone's busy city life. But every time we meet, we felt so comfortable with each other because we speak the same lousy slang and have the same opinion on almost everything. I guess that's how it is when you grew up in the same kampung and learnt the same thing ;)
Bintan Island.
A short weekend getaway to Bintan Island.
Unexpected good beach with extremely soft white smooth sand. Love!
Yummy Italian.
We went to Peperoni Pizzeria today and the food's very good! Yummeh wood-fired pepperoni pizza only at $23 with crispy thin crust! Garlic bread $5 and fried chicken wings $8 are finger licking good nom nom nom. We ordered another mixed seafood risotto $26, nothing to shout about because I'm not a fan of gooey rice or Spanish paella or rice like that. Still would prefer Chinese fried rice haha. I didn't bring my camera along but it's fine because I'm very certain I'll be going back for more Italian dishes! Best of all, there's no service charge and no GST, that's a whopping 17%!

RIP Steve =( =(
I don't mourn death of people who I have never interacted with or met personally before.
But today I am very saddened by Steve Job's death. No words needed to describe how phenomenal he is. Everyone is already familiar with his history and his work.
If you have followed Apple's news the past years, you would be aware of the whole Apple vs Gizmodo conflict over the stolen iPhone. This is written by the ex-Gizmodo editor over his encounters with Steve Job.
http://thewirecutter.com/2011/10/steve-jobs-was-always-kind-to-me-or-regrets-of-an-asshole/
Read it.
Steve Job's has numerous quotes. But I think I will always remember his 'Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish'. I believe this is his best quote ever.
"3 Apples changed the World, 1st one seduced Eve, 2nd fell on Newton and the 3rd was offered to the World half bitten by Steve Jobs."
I still remember I was caught in a traffic jam outside of the San Francisco convention center Year 2008 wondering what all the hoo-haa is about. Then Kelvin came home from work and was saying excitedly about how Steve Jobs introduced the world's thinnest laptop by taking it out from an envelope.
*sobs*
He changed the world.
