What A CNY.

As expected, my house was flooded. AGAIN. What the fuck did the government do to prevent flooding since the 2006 claimed "ONCE IN A CENTURY" flood? Was there a flood warning last week? Why did they stop reporting the river water level since last week? Did they take leave and went on holiday wtf. Anyway, thanks for all of you who called and msged. My parents are okay, on the 2nd floor with lots of CNY cookies which could probably last them for days. 1st floor was flooded and the electricity/water supply already cut off. All roads leading to Segamat was cut off and KTM has stopped operating and dumped all my friends at Kluang station to find hotel instead.

If you are Segamatian and need update, either follow the open group facebook for Segamat (昔加末水灾最新消息(Segamat Flood) ) or Segamat website for update okay.

Johor floods: Two dead and nearly 29,000 evacuated

Johor floods updates:

*Segamat, Johor Baru and Kluang worst-hit

*TNB disconnects electricity supply to Segamat to prevent electrocution.

*Delay in big palm oil shipments from Pasir Gudang

*KTM cancels many train services to the south

JOHOR BARU: Two people have died and 28,932 were evacuated to 200 centres statewide by 11am Monday as continuous rain in the past few days flooded many parts of Johor.

Segamat, Johor Baru and Kluang were the worst-hit areas and the bad weather was expected to continue on Tuesday, said Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman on Monday.

All of Segamat is cut off by floodwaters. It is an island.

Police said no one can get in or out of the town as the roads to Muar, Johor Baru and Kuala Lumpur are under water.

Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has disconnected electricity supply to Segamat. Its substations have been switched off as a safety precaution.

A TNB spokesman said Monday that it was a common procedure during a flood to prevent electrocution. The supply will be restores once the floodwaters ebb to a 'safe level'.

Oh no! At least aunt and uncle are safe. Hope the flood is going to subside soon.

It looks massive from my view.. I hope it won't flood here in my in law place. Happy Chinese New Year! Joey Yap said this year is water year... water is money
