I'm old. And fat.

After 100000000000 km and 150 hours, I'm finally at the other side of the world. Well not really the other side, just half a side.

My ass also nearly flat already.

I used to like flying and eating inflight food. Then people tell me that it's because it's my first few times and I told them off saying that I'll still like it even after a million times.

Okay sorry. They're right. I'm so sick of it already. I'm too old for a 30 hours travelling. When they serve me food I wanna puke on them. except maybe the bun and butter. The rest, eargh yucks.

So last time when people tell me they're gonna fly already I'm so damn jealous okay like why all these people so hang fook and so lucky. Now, I'd just say "good luck with the travelling" coz it'll suck shit.

Old already lah. What do you expect. My body can't stand sitting in that barely 50cm seat for so many hours.

Anyway

Yes as expected I'm back! To Roti Canai! To Char Kuay Teow! To Hokkien Mee! To Teh Tarik! To cheap Milo!

And fuck you weather.

I don't know what my plans are for now. But I'll just go with the flow for a while. I'm supposed to go Genting this weekend but ehem something unexpected happened and the trip's cancelled. Next week I'm flying to Thailand!

Don't worry I have no H1N1 yet. Nobody cares in US. Nobody wears mask. But when I reach Malaysia, everyone wears mask. haha. Why ah. US people not scared of dying or what.

But I guess the chances of me catching it is pretty high since I was here and there and in contact with many people. If I'm safe, I don't see the reason why you should be worried about the swine flu.

I gained in total 5kg since Jan :( Very upset with myself now. But my appetite is getting so uncontrollable lately I'd still gobble down mcdonalds with 10kilos of french fries with 15kilos or mash potato and then get upset after that for all the calories.

Okay babble babble. I'm gonna kick start some meaningful work before its time for play again.

Facebook Craze

So I guess most or all of you have a facebook account right.

Right? Even watson and fatboyslim has an account now. So I assume everyone else already has.

Do you guys play all the games there like mafia war, this and that. Sorry I can't name alot because I only know mafia war cause CrazyRibby plays it like crazy.

Do you know about this Restaurant City? It's not new la it's been around quite some time but I didn't know about it until the boy is all crazy about it and playing it every chance he gets like I go mandi or something. I created my own Restaurant City to find out what's so great about it then I left it for him to play it for me.

Then don't know when or why I started playing then quite interested also then kept playing. In a very short time I got to the max level.



Now that I'm done with it, I started to feel that the game is damn dumb okay. And it makes me feel dumb for playing it. SO WHAT IF I GOT TO LEVEL 27. NOW WHAT. GET MORE GOURMET POINTS AND RANK #1 IN THE WHOLE FRIEND LIST.

DUH.

This game just proves how no life I am for playing it. Because people who could go up level fast or get plenty gourmet points are people who sit in front of their laptop 24/7 to keep track of it.

And that for me, is pathetic.

Me, I am pathetic for a few weeks. That's what I did. Play Restaurant City. I sat in front of the laptop and feed the minions so they can cook some rubbish for some customers and get 2 bucks for every meal.

So byebye Restaurant City. You can close shop now or my waiters can all die for all I care because you're a dumb game.

BUT I think that's not the worst. It's just ONE OF THE WORST.

PEOPLE WHO UPDATE THEIR FACEBOOK STATUS WHEN THEY'RE ON VACATION.

Eh excuse me. I'm on holiday but not the 1 week kind of holiday is 1 month kind of holiday plus I'm still working part time and needed to get online to get some work done okay. So updating blogs are just reasonable okay.

Plus I cannot just NOT work more than 2 or 3 weeks because then I'd feel very useless I don't know why.

IF I go to Bangkok or Japan or Krabi for 1 week or so for a VACATION, do you think I'd get online to update my facebook status?

How pathetic can that be?

It only means you're not enjoying your vacation or your vacation is just plain BORING that all you can think about is to login to facebook and update your status?

OR

You're just too sombong that you're doing something great and try to show off to your facebook friends, whom you assume login to their FB everyday to check on people's status?

OR

what? or what? I can't think of a reason why people would do that.

I find myself do that sometimes. I update my twitter every chance I get previously but then after I do it, I felt like I'm so pathetic that I have to update the status when I'm on holiday or what. Why am I like that? Why wanna do that? But then I can't remember if I ever update twitter when I'm on a real vacation. Did I? I don't think so. Did I?

And don't even get me started on all the quizzes.

Sheesh.

Don't understand at all.

Fremont Solstice Fair 2009

Today I went to the Fremont Fair for the 2009 Summer Solstice Event. I've never heard of it until today. It's a fair where people eat, drink, shop, dance, perform and parade to celebrate Summer and Jun 21st being the longest day of 2009.

I took this on the way to Everett.

8.58PM. At night! Okay the photo didn't do it any justice at all because after that the sun shines. And it's still shining until 9.30pm. Pardon me for feeling surprised because I haven't been to any other countries during summer so I've not seen this before.

Tomorrow it's going to be bright until at least 10pm. What a long day for people to get a lot of work done.

Where was I.

Oh the Fremont Solstice Fair.

This fair is an eye opener. You must be thinking why la what so special about people partying on the street and dancing and parade and all that. You can see all those in Disneyland okay.

BUT in this fair, people cycle NAKED. Yes you heard me correctly. They just painted themselves and then cycle in the streets naked.

CAN U FIND THAT IN DISNEYLAND WTF.

No I actually didn't take these photos. I borrowed them from my sister's friend's facebook. I was late. When I reach, the cyclist parade is over. But I did see a few guys cycling around naked, some with painted bodies, some without.

Haha wtf seriously wan lor. They just cycle naked, man and woman.

Not only that, those who watch also go topless.



The other parades have nothing special about it. Groups of people just wear costumes and dance in the streets, some topless as well.



Told you it's an interesting fair. Haha seriously never thought the fair is so...naked.

Sick of Vegas.

I'm back in Seattle! Flew back today and reached around evening time.

5 days in Vegas is TOO MUCH. I'm kind of sick of Vegas. Every mroning I wake up not knowing what to do and wishing I've bought an earlier ticket haha wtf. Seriously wan. Vegas is nothing but just a Strip. 2 days should be just fine to go through everything, not to mention this is already the don't know what 3rd time I've been there.

I think it'll take me another year or two before I'll make another trip back. coz I'm sick of it.

Did I just say I'm sick of Vegas again. But it's the truth.

I'm sick of Vegas. So don't bother telling me how exciting Vegas is. Because I'm sick of it.

But the Paris hotel is great!!

and I get to watch Fountains of Bellagio which is just opposite the hotel.



and I also told the boy that next time I'm going to bring him there to watch it because that's one thing I'll never get sick of watching. ehem..I mean..not YET sick. Soon. But everyone's saying the fountain is so romantic lah best thing on earth lah want to do what there lah and blah this blah that OVERRATED *roll eyes.



And bringing my parents around is fun too even though they have a lot of questions about everything haha wtf.

I'm glad I left Vegas because everything is TOO EXPENSIVE. DID I MENTION MY SIS HAVE TO PAY USD$3 DAILY every morning for a pot of HOT water from the hotel to make my mum's coffee. And we asked for a butter knife and they wanted to charge us USD$1 !

No. I shouldn't sound so surprised because I'm not. The last time I stay in MGM Grand, I asked for hot water and they wanted to charge me USD$5. So yah Paris is considered cheap already i guess hurhurhur.

And remember I talked about being a big fan of Cirque Du Soleil. I watched Kooza in San Francisco last time. So how can I miss a show when I'm in Vegas right? It's sponsored by my eldest sister huhuhu so kind of her coz it is VERY ExPENSIVE like USD$120 per ticket for a 1.5 hours show. So we watched 'O' in Bellagio this time. I'll talk about it more next time. (and better not say I'm a fan because later someone else will say it's their obesession wtf inside joke wtf)

Yah lah seriously wan. I bought my own flight ticket and stuff. Took Airasia from Penang->KL. Then flew to LA with Malaysia Airlines. Then flew to San Francisco with Southwest. Then flew to Seattle with Virgin America. Then flew to Vegas with US Airways. Then flew back to Seattle with US Airways. The last few flights haven't even pay my sister back hurhurhur bancrupt. And the boy is kind enough to slip a few hundred USDs into my bag before I fly.

and adoiii why would some people ask me if these entries are from my previous US trip. The flight ticket uploaded mar takkan I change the flight date and stuff lah right. adoiiii...

Anyway,
it's 12.50am now and I'm not sleepy yet. I just cooked Jumbo Mee which I bought from the Asian Market today at USD$0.59. Very full and fattening ah!



AND I GAINED WEIGHT AGAIN AH GOD SAVE ME!!

Wild Night In Vegas

Well, not too wild la.



I flew from Seattle and took me 2 hours to reach. Took the shuttle from airport for USD$12 and checked in to Paris Hotel on The Strip.



The room is very nice. Trust me.

Everything else in Vegas is freaking expensive! Even asking for hot water from the Room Service is like USD$2 okay. And sharing food outside they extra charge us USD$2 again. WTF. Money everywhere money.

I also paid USD$14.99 for 24 hours internet access. haha. don't know for what.

Sleepless In Seattle

No that's actually not true.

I slept like a pig from 1am to at least 11am everyday. If my parent's hadn't wake me up I would have slept past noon.

I flew from San Francisco to Seattle on Thursday and will be here till Sunday.



It's pretty tiring okay. I have something planned everyday and it actually wears me out now. This mroning I woke up with a headache but changed and went out anyway because the plan is to take the Boeing tour. The tour is like 1.5 hours where they took us to the factories where they manufacture the Boeing 747, 777 and the new Dreamliner 787 which has yet to launch. The first Dreamliner should be taking off end of the 2nd quarter by Nippon Air. By that time I guess Boeing centre will be flooded with reporters and stuff.

But we're lucky enough today to catch the chance to see the Dreamlifter taking off. Dreamlifter is the flight that they used to transport the Dreamliner from places to places as they have to pick up parts from around the world for the final assembly.

Sorry no photos now as I'm a bit too lazy to do anything. But I promise I'll upload all the photos soon!

Tomorrow (Sunday), I'll be flying to Vegas for a week and will stay in Paris Hotel at the Strip opposite Bellagio. So I'll be internet-less as I need to pay extra for the wireless and I'm too stingy to do that haha.

I also managed to webcam with the boy a bit yesterday night and glad to see him still cute and happy as always. I'd love to stay in the US longer but if there's one thing that can make me go back to Msia, that is to hug the boy again :")

Hello from San Francisco

hello peeps
i've been abandoning my blog quite a bit as I'm always worn out from the whole day travelling around. I'm still in SF and has driven down to Monterey and Napa last few days. Also drove around San Francisco quite a bit and even down to Milpitas.

I have no plans for tomorrow. Probably go get my egg tart again or something.

This is what I've been taking last few days.



It's a mild sleeping pill from Safeway to help me prevent jet lag. So every night I slept at 11 and didn't wake up until at least 10 in the morning. That also because my parents woke me up to eat.

Life's good right now!!!!

Ahh actually not too good because the boy's not here though. He's been real busy with work and its almost impossible to catch 5 minutes to talk. But it's okay there's always gmail.

Tonight I'm not taking the pill hope I get to sleep. Night folks.

Is It Ever Summer in San Francisco?

Hello All.

I've safely arrived. I flew from 9.30am APAC time Jun06.



And reached Los Angeles at 12 noon Pacific Time Jun06.



Then I walked from Tom Bradley Terminal to Terminal 1 to check in Southwest from 4pm and reached San Francisco at 5.30pm.



I thought it's SUMMER?

Why is SF like winter now? Crazy cold okay. I only brought sleeveless shirts and shorts expecting it to be quite warm. But everyone dressed in boots and jackets and long sleeves wtf. So after dinner in San Tung just now, I drove over to Stonestown to buy tights to keep my leg warm.

But then again, it's always better to be chilly.

Tomorrow I'm going to Chinatown to buy my egg tart then walk around Union Square then go to Pier 39 and maybe Alcatraz. Coz the last 2 times I came to US I did not go to Alcatraz so this time I must make it. Then maybe go to Golden Gate to cycle wtf.

Then need to do some shopping for some jackets and everything else to keep me warm! I'll try to update again soon so bye for now.

Yes It's about time.


#1 I only have backpacks instead of a proper luggage. Packed few hours before the flight and threw everything I needed into this hand luggage.


#2 Flying alone makes plenty of time to observe around.


#3 Arrived in Suvarnabhumi Airport around evening.


#4 Heading to Immigration.


#5 Worrying coz I forgot to ask for Immigration Card. But I figured the counters should have it.


#6 They have all these paintings all the way to the Immigration Counters.


#7 I hailed a cab in the airport and headed to the Hotel. Took like 4 maps from the airport to check out where to go next because nothing is planned. All on the spot planning.


#8 Oh yes! Just in time for sunset at the highway.


#9 Finally! I got to my hotel after almost 1 hour. Imm Fusion Sukhumvit "Where Simplicity Meets Style". The entrance is just 50 steps walk to the Sukhmvit BTS Station (Bangkok Mass Transit System). Which is good because I'll need the BTS to go around Bangkok.

#10 That hole is the entrance to the hotel. There're a few VIP car parks after the entrance.


#11 Walking straight ahead is the hotel lobby.

#12 The check-in counters. Walking straight ahead after the counters is the swimming pool. Very small swimming pool only for people to dip in, not to swim. And there's places for you to put your drinks beside the pool. There're also a few couch and sofas next to the pool.

The hotel only has 4 floors coz it's situated in like a shophouse. Not a building of its own.

#13 On the left and right of the check in counters are all these couch.


#14 Greeted by a very small LCD on the wall after I opened the room door.


#15 The room is decent and very clean for only RM100 per night. Good deal huh?


#16 A study desk and an individual air con with a small fridge. Oh and I saw a naked man right after I went in the room through the window hurhurhur

haha damn chui bin okay this entry like shit all 1 sentence kao tim so no heart haha. Even so chui bin also took me almost half an hour okay. Coz I still have lots of thigns to finish before I fly this Saturday.

I couldn't find my LAX-SFO itinerary email. I asked my sis to call Southwest to check and I emailed her my flight number and flight time and stuff like that. Southwest could not find my last name in the flight time and stuff. So for a second there I panicked la! I thought I imagined myself buying but actually I did not. Serious Alzheimer case like that wtf.

I also couldn't find the purchased item in my Citibank credit card statement. I seriously wanted to buy another ticket already but luckily I remembered I used my sister's travel fund to buy so she asked Southwest to check where the travel fund is deducted and then

Found my itin. Haha. So I actually captured the wrong flight number and flight time.

VERY SURPRISING MEH? I'm always forgetful like that wan mah haha.
