Few days ago, I posted
In 2 days I will be flying off to Taiwan for a great 10 days trip round the country and shouting Happy New Year 2011 at Taipei 101. Exciting much?
Now is the "2 days" already. And I'm still here in Malaysia typing this.
My flight was 10am this morning. Woke up at 6.30am, caught a bus from Sentral to LCCT. Happily checking bags in. And looking around for breakfast.
At 9.00am. My passport was stolen.
Police report made. Lost & Found informed. Checked-in bag retrieved. Bought a bus ticket, went to Putrajaya to appeal for new passport. Now pending for lost passport investigation and nothing will be filed until the immigration office opens again on Monday after all the public holiday. Tentatively expected time is 30 days and fastest is 7 days.
No Taiwan. No glorious countdown for an awesome year. Nothing.
Whole day stayed in Putrajaya going around Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara to get a birth cert replacement, Commission of Oath to swear on the truth for the lost passport, Police Station, Immigration Dept, Passport Dept. Going to and fro while crying the whole day.
If I say I am depressed now, that is truly an understatement.
Upset.
Thoughts from 2010.
Every little thing written is bound to offend someone. Everything written here is about me. Not you. Read with an open mind, not a sensitive heart.

Last year I was damn gung-ho I wrote a full piece of what I did here. Until now I don't understand where I find all the time and energy to actually put all the puzzle together into a nice piece. This year maybe I've aged or what but I have the intention to write just kept delaying it and today I finally decided not to wtf. Fret not, this is temporary only. When 2011 comes, I'll respin the wheel and blog as things happened.
2009 was a big travel year. That was also because I have bigger plans and thus wanted to make full use of my remaining annual leaves and flexibility/freedom of the previous job to travel around. A total of 3 travel months in a year. Thank you ex-boss for approving me.
Part of 2009 was spent studying, taking exams and mailing out university applications. After serious consideration and plenty of $$ calculation I decided to forgo the acceptance so I won't be in great debt after I graduate. After grumbling and sighing for the last 5 years I have finally took the big step and made a change.
2010 was a significant year for me.
First half of the 2010 year was busy coming up with brilliant resume (*cough* as if) and looking for jobs.
Second half of the year was spent saying goodbyes, moving house, settling down, starting a new job.
Many I know took a break in between jobs to go around. I had my last day on Friday and started new job on Monday. Barely have time to breathe. In the midst of getting to know the country, how things work here, getting to know new colleagues, rebuilt burnt bridge with old friends, I've had my share of down times. Things moved too fast that before I realize it, there was a few months where I was extremely depressed. All the new things. All the new environments. I just couldn't get used to it. I'm never a person who can accept change well.
It's not easy. Trust me. Nothing in life is easy anyway.
But it turned out to be a good change. First I'm really glad I'm out of that shithole where money is always a problem. I'm not saying money is not a problem now, just that I can see more light wtf and half way out of the tunnel. More importantly, I'm totally out of debt. Citibank you can stop calling me now about late fees and interest charges wtf. I've also learnt a great deal here. Learning to be humble and accepting new things and changes all over again. Exposed to more things in this new vibrant busy city. Picked up new hobby. Spent more time with family. I've toughened up a great deal and I'll take whatever obstacles thrown my way with ease *flips hair. I'm secretly glad I am not sitting in the same place when new year comes and sighing about how my year never changed.
I used to make a long list of resolutions that never happened. But at least this year I made one big thing came true and doing something for my future. So I won't be making unrealistic far-fetched resolutions like losing 5 kgs (was in the list the past 5 years but never happened) anymore.
If I can make ONE resolution, it would be for me to see things more optimistically in the new year and replenish everything that I think have been broken.
Happy New Year 2011. May the new year be filled with nothing but sugar and spice and all things nice.
Have A Merry Merry Christmas 2010!
It seems like it's the tradition of this company for every department to hold their own Christmas party. Bosses will normally fork out some money, for example, my team of 40 people have 5 bosses and the money we collected is enough for an extremely scrumptious lunch, vouchers and games.
Most of my colleague agree that this Arnold Fried Chicken's chicken is better than KFC. I tried it before and well, it's good in terms of being the good traditional mummy fried chicken but still, I think KFC wins hands down. They don't quite agree with me though. For them, Arnold is the best! So as expected, each of us get a set (half a fried chicken + fries + coleslaw) for lunch.
#1 Around 12 noon, Donny sent 4 of us to City Plaza, the main branch of Arnold Fried Chicken to pick up our orders. We specifically told them that we'll be picking up in Pasir Ris branch but they messed up and in the end, they gave us 10% discount or something.
#2 Reached back office around 1pm. Ken came down to ferry the 40 boxes of Arnold's using his trolley to the Studio Room where the party is held.
Besides this 40 boxes of half chicken and fries in each, there are also 12 large pizzas of different toppings, 3 extremely large boxes of drummets, 5 rolls of garlic bread, pasta, lasagna, 5 big bottles of soft drinks & mountains of snacks for just...40 of us wtf.
Each of us is supposed to prepare a gift of minimum S$15 for the Christmas gift exchange. I'm damn lousy lah I didn't know what to buy, so I went to Giant, spotted this Hand Mixer which is S$35 discounted to S$16.90 so I bought that. And when I reached office in the morning only I was busy wrapping it when everyone else had already had theirs nicely wrapped and displayed there.
#3 My awesome S$16.90 Akira hand mixer.
We started eating around 2pm. Then played some lame games like Policeman and Murderer. You guys know what that is right? The murderer winked his eyes at the people and they died then the policeman have to figure out who's the murderer. Who lost has to dance to the song "Nobody" by Wondergirls in the middle wtf. Aiya basically who was appointed to be the policeman confirm dance already because there's 2 murderer and 40 people wtf how to catch! But everyone was real sporting though. When they lost they really danced like there's no tomorrow so it's pretty entertaining. In the end, we didn't play anymore of the winking and instead we just point at someone and he/she has to go out straight in the middle and dance wtf.
Then the 2nd game, surprisingly, is the Mafia and Villager. The people have to discuss, convince each other and vote who's the mafia, who's the police and who's the normal people. I haven't played this game for so long! Anyway, the mafia won because nobody is interested in guessing who the mafia is, they just want to have all our bosses killed first without any reason. So everytime someone point at any of our bosses then everyone confirm vote him out wtf.
Gift exchange time!
#4 My secret santa gave me 2 boxes of chocolate aih I not fat enough meh why give me more chocolateeeeeeeeeeee! I don't want chocolate! >.< I want my hand mixer!!! Amy gave me the Candy Cane which I hung it on my monitor now because it's all sugar so I'm quite reluctant to eat.
#5 Donny was so nice! He bought 6 of us this Forever Friends wrist-rest, and 6 more Forever Friends photo clip for the other 6 of them! I felt bad for not buying anything for them pfttt I initially wanted to get a Gingerbread man for each of them but I couldn't find.
Then we had to gobble down another 3 big Christmas Log Cakes. I didn't eat coz I was too full beyond words and I haven't shat for 2 days so I don't think my stomach can handle anymore input wtf.
My director gave additional voucher for the best "Nobody" dancer and then also vouchers for "Employee of the Month". Each month everyone will vote for someone and he/she will get Fairprice vouchers worth S$50 or S$100 I forgot. See. Obviously I am not the one who got it lor how much also don't know.
BUT
I get something else. I was picked to be the next year's team building organizer. Note the next YEAR not just 1 team building but FOUR team buildings for the whole year! It works this way here. One get picked for the whole year FML.
Party ended around 4pm. Everyone went back to their cube analyzing their gifts. And actually my Secret Santa was my cube neighbor, Shen Yi (the one who was too shy to stand next to me and take photo in Universal Studios wuwuwuwuw). He felt bad for just buying chocolates for me so as a form of apology, he exchanged his pink wrist-rest with my baby blue wrist-rest wtf. haha he so cute.
#6 The Christmas tree at home! All the gifts below the Christmas tree are REAL gifts not empty wrapped shoe boxes okay! I was thinking to myself next time if I have my own house and I would do my own Christmas tree and if nobody give me anything I'll just wrap empty shoe boxes and pretend I have many friends wtf.
#7 My nephew insist that I take his K1 end of the year concert photo so there you go.
Sigh. Don't all of us just love Christmas??
No Christmas like Orchard, really. The whole Orchard road was decorated with lights and every mall throws out their best and largest Christmas trees. Put all the other Christmas trees outside of SG to shame wtf. I'll probably be going to Orchard on Christmas day (not looking forward to the crowd though) coz I need to take photos of Orchard!
My favorite-st Christmas song is Feliz Navidad since I was young. Christmas songs are all really nice right. Makes you feel in the mood then everyone start dreaming of snow and shit like that. Not like the Chinese New Year all loud Dong Dong Chiang adoi pening.
Have a Merry Merry Christmas 2010, readers!
I wish you all get what you want from Santa!
One Year Older, One Year Wiser.
I had a great great birthday weekend! Ah besides the fact that I got a year older /sucks but besides that all is well. I went back to PG for a short weekend getaway. Actually I didn't thought of going back until the bf suggested it and he said he thinks that's a great place to go celebrate the birthday since I have friends there and there's char kuay teow too!
The 1st place I dropped by is my facial place because god knows how long I haven't had any decent facial! I felt my face got so dull and dark and full of blackheads & bf tagged along. Later back at the hotel, we (err I mean me) kept looking at the mirror admiring the great work Wei Wei did! All the small bumps (acne?) and blackheads and whiteheads are all gone! And I felt my face lighted up a whole lot haha so kua zheong. We're both extremely satisfied seriously. I had 3 more facial sessions before the package finishes and bf suggested that we go back mid next year just to have that facial again so yay!
Is it me or did Penang changed a great deal? There're a few new malls and new condos coming up and the much talked about Straits Quay.
I will post the birthday photos soon..after I finish my team building photos urgh takes forever to finish it. I looked back at my archives and I realized that I used to be able to blog everything on the day that it happens late at night! Where did I find all that time!
Anyway,
Happy Birthday to Me! And I am really looking forward to next year!
Whatever.
Did I tell you, oh readers, that I have started exercising since 1.5 months ago religiously everyday? Okay it's only about 15 minutes each day but I haven't been eating as much and plus the extra 15 minutes daily, anyone would agree that I must have lost weight.
I think the same too! Except I don't feel my clothes getting looser or my jeans getting looser or whatever shit like that. So this morning, I braved my poor little soul and went down to the clinic (because as they say clinics have the most accurate weighing machine).
I...
gained a fucking 1.5kg. In that 1.5 months that I have been working out.
Can you tell I'm fucking discouraged? Can you tell, huh?
And does it help that everytime the bf see me he would ask me how many kg i am now and everytime i try to eat, he will take away the food like I'm obese like that??!!!
Aih anyway, I'm just fucking down now lah.
Resorts World Sentosa - Universal Studios Singapore Part II
Action!
Part I here.
Universal Studios is built up of 7 main areas.
#1 Park map.
Source
Entrance is at the bottom. When you walk left, it's the Madagascar (with the ship & huge tree). After Madagascar, is Far Far Away (the palace). Moving on, is The Lost World (with the streams of river). Walk straight down, is Ancient Egypt. After Egypt, is Sci-Fi City (with the galactica roller coaster). Beside SciFi is New York. And the last one is Hollywood, which is where you exit the park as well.
We reached the entrance around 1.30pm and spent like half an hour there getting the tickets ready and also for the rest of the team to arrive.
#2 Me, Amy & Juliet. Amy is the organizer so she's busy going around buying McDonalds and getting tickets for all of us.
#3 USS Entrance.
#4 The gang. We sorta hang out together and makan together and a bit antisocial and never join any other teams. fuh. So many "and"s. Right most is my boss. He looks really garang. No I mean he IS really garang but garang towards our users which is a good thing then we won't kena bully. We always call him the gangster of the team coz everytime he say something he looks like he's gonna punch you in the face.
#5 My printed ticket. Looks a bit cheap right. That's what I get from the counter.
#6 My cube neighbours. Left is Asri, who was extremely helpful and any questions asked he would really take time and answer you patiently. Right is Shen Yi. As you can see he doesn't really like me from the distance between us haha NO LA he's just really really really shy! Really! He doesn't hate me! *in denial
#7 The team that went that day. Some of the team member was clearing annual leaves so missed out on this. And another team of 5-6 has not yet arrived so, only left us few small potatoes here. They're all wearing the team shirt. I also got but I don't really wanna take photo in USS with that shirt! So............I had it hang around me instead.
#8 Dreamworks row of shops at the entrance.
#9 Right after entrance, you turn left to the office and get the $5 food voucher & $5 gift voucher and the park maps. They say Yang Bin (on the left) looks like some ah pek going to pasar buy pork like that coz of the slipper and how he sit! He's from China and he's funny, but not intentional funny, coz he can't speak English that well so whenever he tries to explain something, it turns out to be a joke to the rest of us haha so bad esp when he talks to his best friend Tung (who's a Vietnamese). Only both of them can understand each other haha so cute.
#10 The entrance road leading to the start of the park. Turn left to Madagascar and right to Hollywood.
#11 We also hang out here for almost half an hour taking photos and checking maps.
#12 I didn't watch Madagascar so I have no idea but they say this is the tree from Madagascar so, Madagascar tree it is!
#13 Life size replica of a ship. I have no idea but I googled and it seems like this ship is the ship that the zoo animals fell off at the start of their adventure in Madagascar. If you have watched the cartoon, you should know what I'm talking about?
We didn't go for any rides in Madagascar land but if I'm not mistaken, there's this ride called "A Crate Adventure". It's a ride on wooden boats where you'll drift down rivers and meet the characters from Madagascar.
#14 Me and XiaoJun, the doll in the team. When I first saw her I thought she looked like Liang Yong Qi from some HK movies. Her skin is super soft and nice! And veryyyyyyyyyy tallllllll toooooooo. She used to do part time modelling when she was younger. We took 3-4 photos here and actually bought an official one took by USS staffs for $12 per photo! A bit regret coz so expensive!
#15 We didn't go for the ride because we are busy queuing to take photo with the characters. We managed to get this one with the penguins but after that we queued for the lion and when it's our turn, they had to go in and perform so we didn't get to take any! boohoo.
#16 Before the characters left, they were dancing to the "Move it Move It" song and it's sooooo adorable!
#17 I nearly bought the lion soft toy even though i don't like cartoons wtf.
#18 Okay after all the cute dancing and shows and everything, I still don't think I will download and watch a cartoon..hmm...
#19 On the right opposite Madagascar is this tree house. We just nonchalantly walked past it because none of us know what it is. So we didn't even bother going in and walk around. Only when I reached home and downloading the photos into my PC that my 5 year old nephew ran in, saw this and say SHREK HOUSE and I'm like OHHHHHHHHHHH SHREK HOUSEEEEEE...wtf.
#20 Right after Madagascar is the Far far away land.
#21 The girls with Shrek! The fake papan Shrek. I couldn't find the real walking Shrek though if not definitely I will queue to take photo with it. U know I always say the boy looks like Shrek but I said it in the adorable Shrek cute way not the disgusting burping Ogre but he's still offended by my comment aih haha.
#22 We then went in the palace for Shrek 4D show and thank god it's air-conditioned because I'm almost barbecued! Mind you it's only like 1 hour out in the park only I nearly sweat to death. Queue was still bearable because the hall can withstand a lot of people. And there's water inside so everyone was filling cold water and stuff.
#23 The girls, somewhat refreshed 0.01% after drinking cold water.
#24 Shrek is the only cartoon I watch and I loved it! Only like the 1st one though, 2nd one is a bit mehhhhh. Can't decide whether pig is cuter or donkey or Pinocchio!
#25 After like 10 minutes of pestering by us, the boss finally agreed to let us take 1 photo of him -_-"
#26 This part is exactly the same as the one in Universal Studios L.A. You will first gather in this mini hall where they will give you a quick brief story of Shrek and Fiona. Then there's a big screen at the middle showing Gingerbread man trapped in the Dungeon.
#27 Mirror mirror on the wall tell me if I'm the fairest of them all wtf.
#28 We're then ushered into this hall and everyone grab their own 4D glass, or 3D glass. err. Is the 4D show and 3D show glasses the same wtf?
#29 HAHA Da Wei dont know how to wear glasses!
The show itself is different from the one in LA though. This one has the air from the back of your seat and geli ticklish thing at your ankle there. But quite enjoyable lah not sure is it because of the show or the air-conditioning. The show is quite short, maybe less than 10 minutes only.
#30 Haha mutant dragon donkey. I really don't understand how the donkey can make the dragon pregnant lol but it's a god damn cartoon so, what the heck.
#31 I was walking around and I told them "hey we haven't go to the palace yet" and they said "wtf you just came out of it for the shrek show" and me "oh the show's in THAT palace?" wtf blur max.
Okay! This USS journey is only 3 hours plus but I have to divide into so many parts not because got a lot of things to say but because I malas already! I got some things to do now so I'll continue with the other parks later ok!
Weather has been crazy lately. Every morning I woke up to gloomy sky and was extremely windy when I walk to the bus stop and every evening it rains! I hate it! My bus stop is opposite the company so I hate to cross the road and everyday I'm drenched like shit and my umbrella always fail on me. At critical times it will refuse to open aih. Can the sky please stop raining on evenings and rain at noon insteadddddddddddddddddddd?
Lemony Snicket
“Everyone, at some point in their lives, wakes up in the middle of the night with the feeling that they are all alone in the world, and that nobody loves them now and that nobody will ever love them, and that they will never have a decent night’s sleep again and will spend their lives wandering blearily around a loveless landscape, hoping desperately that their circumstances will improve, but suspecting, in their heart of hearts, that they will remain unloved forever. The best thing to do in these circumstances is to wake somebody else up, so that they can feel this way, too.”
- lemony snicket (via loventhetruth)
Haha I was reading and reading and thinking why so emo wan lah. Loved the last sentence!
Kesimpulannya, money is not everything for everyone. It is for me though so after long consideration I decided to forgo Wan Tan Mee, Nasi Lemak and Char Kuay Teow to come here anyway and for the better quality of life. You can say I'm money faced whatever. But you CAN'T say I'm evil coz I used money to pijak on people in my last entry! I don't do that! Except..... only that 1 time coz he's equally evil too =(. My point is, if money is not primary factor for you, if money is not everything to you, if money is not enough to bring happiness to you, then that's good for you. You can stay where you are and do what you're doing now. Whats the point of earning big bucks if you're not happy? Different people have different opinion on how they should live their life. I chose to do it this way doesn't mean you have to agree with me. But don't be mean right?
Why am I explaining myself again. Am i really THAT guilty. Shit. Seems like what they said is right. I AM turning into a new leaf haha.
Anyway, I have found a great great workout recipe. Best part about it is it kept me interested and I actually dint mind doing it everyday! Compared to just the monotonous jog and run and swim, this is far way better. If it works, I'll share with you guys too ok!
One good thing about the HDB here is that they have a park downstairs at every area. Most nights you can see the old people doing line dance at a corner, another group doing this sword chinese kungfu thing, young teenagers breakdancing at another corner, and almost 10-15 people jogging round the field. You can go down and jog at 10pm and still see many people jogging there and the place is so well lit. It's riuh rendah every night like the whole community is there and also grandmothers taking their grandchildren strolling around.
I loved it coz I can go down and run out in the park anytime I want and there're people. And you actually feel safe. Really. Maybe it's not as safe as I thought it to be, but definitely better than Malaysia! Aisey Malaysia you cant jog outside coz you'll either kena rob or slashed or raped. I'm not joking. Nobody runs outside the gym without feeling like they'll die anytime. Well maybe not to THAT extent but you get my point.
So YAY to going back to exercising again!
Rants!
Someone just said to my face that he felt people who go to Singapore to work for the money is pathetic because...jeng jeng jeng....BECAUSE HE SAID EVERYDAY HAVE TO EAT LOUSY FOOD. So we're pathetic because we came to eat LOUSY FOOD just for the money.
*stone for 5 minutes*
WHAT FUCK IS THAT????
Hey asshole. 1st of all, FUCK YOU. Are you thinking with your asshole? After 5 minutes I still cannot find anything to say back to him because I was in a really extremely confused state. Should I laugh at him or feel angry at him? I'M CONFUSEDDDDDDDD.
He's such a joker. IF YOU DON'T WORK FOR MONEY THEN WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU WORKING RIGHT NOW AND COMPLAINING EVERYDAY THAT THE COMPANY IS NOT PAYING YOU ENOUGH? Oh now I know. They're not paying you enough because your brain is stuck up your asshole already.
When you're eating your awesome food at RM20 and earning RM1000, have it ever crossed your mind that we're actually earning double your money but can eat your food anytime we want at half your price? Oh let me rephrase that. It should be a little more than double because last I checked, the currency is 2.39.
Hmm.
So who's pathetic?
I have been really angelic lately and I'm in such good mood! I gave so much thoughts to people's feelings and never rant and say mean insensitive things anymore because I am a grown up. But for god's sake there just has to be someone there to make my blood boil. Mind you, he didn't just say 1 sentence. He was going on and on and on about pathetic people (definition of pathetic people as mentioned above) for like 15 minutes. If he had talked properly to me about Singapore's lousy food, I couldn't have agreed more and I would discuss more about the lack of food quality since I memang think food here a bit cannot make it anyway but he just HAD to put it that way!
You know seriously I don't want to say mean things like this but then he has the guts to say it to my face when he know very well I'm working here right now. Jealousy much? Amithofo I hope you find peace in your soul soon.
Okay end rant.
Another rant.
I was just saying the other day that I am finally in the "IN" crowd now and look what happen to my iPhone yesterday!! My screen display is damaged and now I can't type properly to people because I can't see the whole keypad anymore and I can't use the shortcuts because they're covered in the blank space *sobs*
Sigh. So much for my awesome wallpaper.
Resorts World Sentosa - Universal Studios Singapore Part I
Last week, my boss brought all of us to Universal Studios as Q4 gathering. We were really surprised because the last few times, what we did was just the boring stuff a.k.a bowling and forest adventure. Anyway he said it's the last quarter and the other departments have all went to USS and it's about time we go!
We each get 1 McDonald set delivered to our cube for lunch. Not really McD delivery coz it's my colleagues who went to McD to pick up all the sets and hand deliver to us huhuhuh. So they had to use the trolley and pushed all the set in boxes to our cubes and then everyone was just walking around munching on fries and burger.
Credit: http://www.mcdonalds.com.sg
It takes us around 20 minutes to drive into Sentosa Island and parking was freaking expensive. S$26 per car! Doesn't matter to us because we can claim it but still, S$26???
This was taken the night after when I was in Vivocity opposite the island.
If you're going in groups, it's better to get your ticket early at Resorts World Sentosa website. We went on a Friday so it's S$66 per person. Weekends are S$72 per person. This ticket is valid for 1 day entry, S$5 voucher (you can buy anything in any souvenir shops) and S$5 food voucher only until 7pm. After 7pm, is consider Hollywood Night and it's priced at $5 or something.
I don't know man. I would think twice about going again because the weather is really NOT SUITABLE FOR OUTDOOR PARKS like this at all! Imagine queuing for rides and shows under hot sun sweating like crazy and when you go in the show, the guy sitting next to you stinks like crazy shit?
My experience with Universal Studios Hollywood is back in December 2006 in Los Angeles and mind you, that was winter and we had an awesome time! But this? I was practically sun burnt and all sweaty and uncomfortable. Sigh. But free entrance. I really shouldn't complain.
This USS is a mini version of the real LA Universal Studios. It was really small, a bit unworthy of the S$66. Basically it was divided into
(1) Madagascar
(2) Far far away - Shrek
(3) New York
(4) Sci-Fi City. The biggest Galactica roller coaster is not officially open yet.
(5) Hollywood
(6) Ancient Egypt.
Sounds a lot? Nah! Each park is the mini version. If you walk straight, 5 minutes is more than enough to pass by the whole Madagascar section. You see? So sad.
Anyway my point is if you've been to the LA Universal Studios, I doubt you'll really enjoy this one. All the shows are the exact same one showing and for those new ones, are just simplified versions of what you see in the real deal.
Ok, be right back with Resorts World Sentosa- Universal Studios Singapore Part II !
Disconnect to Connect
I think I am one of the very few people who didn't spend all their available minutes on their iPhone. Even when I first bought it, I didn't use it on the day itself and I didn't start installing apps until a month later. After 6 months of owning it, I don't play any of the iPhone games and my apps are all critical ones like "SG Buses" "Comfort Cab". Well, I tried and I failed. It really couldn't keep me interested for more than...1 minute?
My ringtone was the default ringtone, so was my sms tone and also my alarm clock tone. In fact, all of them are actually the same tone wtf.
One day in office I was happily working when I heard my colleague laughing at Donny. They always say he's damn ah pek and everything he use is very ah pek-ish. So when he got his iPhone and his phone rang with the default ringtone, everybody laughed at him! So I quickly switched mine to vibrate, went home and googled "How to use own song as iPhone ringtone" WTF so I go through the step by step on how to use your own customized song as ringtone. and now I have Jack Johnson as my ringtone *flips hair
Even my 5 year old nephew took my phone and say "ei! why no picture". He was referring to my iPhone wallpaper which is the default grey bubble picture which you get when you upgrade to iOS4.0.
The other day we were hanging out at the cafe and XiaoJun kept taking our photos with Sock's iPhone4. She also used this app which I forgot what name already and combined the photos and this and that. She takes your photo when you're not paying attention so most of them are candids.
Sock has to teach me which app to install so she can transfer her iPhone photos to me. And then after all the transfer completed, she had to teach me where to view the photos wtf. Why am I like that!
So now I have a different wallpaper and I'm finally "IN" now wooooooooooooohooo!
By the way, if you're one of those I-people who are irritating and ignorant towards your surrounding, remember to disconnect to connect!
First of May
When I was in Donny's car today, he was playing this CD and I loved it. They told me it's Olivia Ong, a Singaporean singer. If you watch Little Nyonya, you should know who she is because she sang the theme song for the series.

I came home and downloaded all her songs.
Fly Me To The Moon
One of my favorite of all times - First of May.
Enjoy!
Joan's Permanent Diaries
What's wrong with me? I just wrote a long entry and decided not to post it. I think I have some issues with being personal nowadays. Long gone are the days I can just rant about work or vent about boyfriend or curse people I despise.
For my anniversary last year, I printed out photos and did a month to month album documenting travels and stuffs with exact dates. I can do that because I blog about almost everything with dates! I can easily browse through my archive to get all these information. This year, I can't. I can't because I have not taken any photos of myself much. And I didnt blog about most of the things I did. No dates. Nothing. I can't come up with anything.
This is my life diary. But the older I get the more I worry how people would judge me from what I write.
But it's really contradicting. You would think what an emo I am right now. But truth is I've never been more excited about life than I am right now. Sometimes I cant wait for tomorrow to come because of what I planned for it. Problem is I'm not comfortable sharing them anymore. I do have a lot in my mind too. Life stress. Like because I'm 28 right now I need to move on to another stage in my life.
As I was tossing and turning around on my bed yesterday night, I realized that I've tried to pursue for the next stage of my life, a bit too hard that, I lost interest. It's scary to finally realize, I do not want it anymore.
Village Park Nasi Lemak
You know HongKies have so many random phrases like 等到蚊都睡 (wait until mosquito also slept . direct translation wtf)......吓到鼻哥窿都无肉啊 (scared until nose also no meat HAHAHA). You get the idea lah.
During the first few months I moved here, I was extremely good food deprived that one day when I was googling online and saw photos of nasi lemak and i was browsing and browsing and browsing and when I came to my senses I realized my mouth is full of saliva nearly drip out..LITERALLY DROOLING!! Like I have to stop looking at the photos to stop salivating aih.
And the other day one of my colleague yawn until... JAW DROP (!!??!!!) in office. SERIOUSLY! He yawned and his jaw DROPPED. So he can't close his mouth and they have to send him to the hospital rightaway to get the jaw screwed back. When I heard of that I couldn't stop laughing but I know it's really bad to be laughing la so kesian but errr...you got friend yawn until jaw drop before meh.....indeed a jaw dropping yawn hahahaha. I really want to know what he's looking at the monitor at that time lol.
Aiyah anyway my point of the entry is to show you my current most favorite NASI LEMAK not talk about jaw drop. Jaw dropping good nasi lemak that makes me drool hahaha.
Village Park Damansara Uptown. Best nasi lemak in PJ and KL and some say Penang.
Everytime I go to KL I will make sure I make time for this nasi lemak. mad love.
ALWAYS full house. So we had to sit outside. You can either queue up there to choose other stuff like sotong and kerang and udang and lontong and everything else. But if you only want normal fried chicken + egg nasi lemak like me, you can just sit at your table and wait for the waiter. They're pretty efficient.
Petai 1 sudu - RM2.70
Telur Goreng - RM1
Ayam Goreng - RM4.70 (a bit expensive but WORTH EVERY CENT)
Kambing 1 sudu - RM4
Ayam Rendang - RM4
Nasi Lemak Biasa - RM2.50
Nasi Lemak + Ayam Rendang - RM5.50
Nasi Lemak + Daging - RM6.50
etc
etc
The chicken is extra crispy and juicy and the rice has such strong aromatic coconut milk taste omg the photo seriously didn't do the nasi lemak any justice at all! I shall go back next next week and take a better photo okay! Damn fucking addictive.
hehehe show you the end result. I wallop everything in less than 5 minutes wtf nola just joking actually is 6 minutes coz it's sooooooooooooooo good! After we paid, I was complaining how come I can't chew on bones. What a waste to leave the bones there WTF.
I've been there 324987458345 times but I never tried anything else so I can't comment on the daging or sotong or kerang but I heard those are nothing to shout about.
It's right next to the bicycle shop at the corner of the street. If you've never been there, I strongly urge you to go try it out..ONLY if you're a nasi lemak fan though!
